As per rotoworld. I am optimistic. Much better than Houston. Hopefully a good player evaluator and can field the phones better than Mills.

"Kings vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry has agreed to terms with the Knicks to become the team's new general manager, according to Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago.
The Knicks have apparently found their man. Perry was part of the old Magic front office with Rob Hennigan before shifting to Sacramento. He was only with the Kings for three months, but his steady hand helped the Kings pick up three solid first-round picks and second-round pick Frank Mason. The terms of his role with Steve Mills are still unclear, but it's possible Mills gets promoted to president."

Only positive out of this is he is a no name and nothing for the media to bring down. Bigger the name the harder the fall.

I get the feeling that a lot of them would rather cover a contender. One reason being that some of them are from the NY area, and grew up Knicks fans. Another reason is hearing from their fellow reporters from markets with much better teams. Some of the time they get carried away, but often they are just telling what most of us already know about how bad the Knicks have been.

I think some honestly want the Knicks to win and they are in minority. The majority are really more about creating chaos. ESPN and Daily News have a vendetta against the Knicks. ESPN generally hates all thing NY it's a Boston News network.

I dont believe Dolan helped in that regard either. He's as subtle as a sledgehammer.
