I read CWeb needs another knee operation.

4 years-80 mil left on his contract. On GM called it the worst contract in the NBA now.

Thank you Laydog for not scooping that one up on us.

Believe it or not, it could have been worse!

Ok, whom has a "feeling"?

Allan Houston's contract is the same just that its one year short. 3 years 60 million. You can thank Laydog for scooping that one.

microfracture surgey needs more tweeking. basically what they do is drill holes into the knees to form scar tissue that would act as new cartiledge to compensate for damaged cartiledge. so far most athletes who have had this surgey havent fared very well--actually mcdyess is the one guy after 3 years who seems to have had some success with it--although he still has a bit of an awkward gait.

I thought that McDyess has a patella tendon repair, and a fractured patella. He had microfacture surgery before that?

I wasn't aware of McDyess having microfracture knee surgery. It's an extremely serious problem when you have to have microfracture surgery. That's why I'd try my best to dump Jason Kidd and his dozen or so years of max salary. Penny Hardaway or Kerry Kittles is probably the biggest success story of NBA players having microfracture surgery, and they're nowhere near the player they once were. Mashburn and Webber also had the procedure and didn't fair well at all. Houston's looked bad so far, but we can only hope he can hold up for an 82 game season.

It makes Layden's decision to trade an unconditional first round pick for him even stupider.

that was McDyess last surgury. First the patella tendon, then the broken knee cap, then he missed half of last year because the knee wasnt healing enough, so they did the microfracture surgery.

when you look at it that way, dice went through a lot of things. Wish him the best.

regarding houston and the other knee repaired guys, I've a lil more hope that it will work better for houston as his game is less based on hops and athleticism, and that at the same time with crawford arrival, he'll have the luxury to start off the bench and get some rest.

Oh, so it wasn't three years ago.

Sorry, Layden, you are only as dumb as I originally thought you were.

they did that after we acquired him, when he was hurt in the preseason and that 6 or so months later, he was still not healing properly. But i thought it was more a bone graft surgery than anything else.

please correct me if i'm wrong on that point.

We did not end up with CWebb. That was the point.

Allan has not had surgery. He was projected to have a long career because his game is stronger on fundamentals than the "hops". Good point.

Allan has been a rock up until last season. Have faith!
