New York Knicks

Players renounced: Ron Baker, Justin Holiday, Derrick Rose, and Sasha Vujacic.
The thinking: The Knicks needed to clear cap room to fit in Tim Hardaway Jr.‘s offer sheet, so these moves aren’t really a surprise. The one interesting name is Baker — the club also withdrew its qualifying offer to him. He has reportedly agreed to a deal with New York already, but if the team doesn’t need his QO or FA rights to complete that signing, it may just end up being a two-year, minimum salary contract that could be finalized once the Knicks use up their cap room on other players.

I hope they are keeping Baker. I read he had an agreement in place.
When Ntilikina struggles, Baker can step in and play big minutes. Just a steady, high IQ, pass first guard that looks to run the offense and plays defense with a good motor.

If they waive Baker, I'll be pissed.

Something tells me the win now train is coming in. Get ready for some middle of the pack picks and soon trading picks will once again be the norm.

I half agree. I have a feeling were going to try to win next off season. Not through starphuching and trading picks... I just think by default after the Melo and Lee trades were going to have a decent hardworking group.

I really want a high draft pick, but we can find talent with a later pick. I completely trust our scouts
