I'm taking a break for now. This has just been too much chaos and instability. There seems to be no patience in the Knicks front office. They take risk after risk after risk. A lot of these moves backfire. Hey that Bargnani fellow is kinda good, maybe he can help us in the playoffs. Or maybe that Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose can return to form. Or maybe THJ will grow into a solid starter. But when these risks don't pay off you end up with a bunch of blown assets or bad contracts.

I withdraw my emotional investment accordingly- it's like when you have a friend that annoys you a lot but you'd rather stay friends than never speak to them again. But you spend less time with them and always expect the worst when you do see them.

I made it this far, Im not giving up. Its in my DNA.
I stopped being all negative for things out of my control.
So why bother geting all lathered up about things and drag the past as its to extrapolate to the future?
Phil was a good decision. The man got out of hand. He reset the direction of the team which is a good thing.
We are in a better place than the 37 win team with a core of Melo, Bargs, Shump and JR.
I thought Kerr was a good idea. Reality is with his spinal fluid problem, he'd have resigned. Just so much pain a man can take as a knick.
Fish was a good idea, who knew this good family man and leader of men was to get a mid life crisis and be a horny dog?
But the only thing that counts are the games. The results speak for themselves.
If THjr proves to be bad, then we'll deal with it. If Noah can't bounce back, we will deal with it.
If knicks never win a chip in my lifetime, I'll let my children deal with it.

I have tried to shake this team from my DNA. Moved to NC. Then Charlotte got expansion team. George Shinn had a great thing going here then became really bad owner.
Shyt happens. Could I be a Celtic fan? Not after 1970's being a knick fan. Lakers? Never. I can admire or have a preference who'd I'd like to see win if not the Knicks, but thats about it.
I have Net's DNA in me from the ABA days as a kid. DR. J as as big a star in my universe as any. They sold him and that really scorched that when they went to Jersey.
When ewing came to town it was a good era but in the end Nalod had some kids, raised them well, and in 1994 swore that I won't get that emotionally bent out of shape ever again for any sports team.

This is the only site I go to on a regular basis besides Facebook.
Reading posts form some really smart fans is fun. Also fun is the incredible ignorance by others.
Im somewhere in the middle. Maybe not.

when you stop caring, you stop being a fan.

Its getting to that point for me.

If we get THj, and proceed to win 30+ games, I will be done.

I follow, but I don't watch but half the games. No team is worth that much time investment.

I feel you. I can't not be a Knick fan. But I can take a step back and think about it it hockey or baseball. This is too frustrating. It's too much.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Where the hell else are you going to go?

You can front run, and take the chips and the abuse that goes with that worldview.
Cavs were the Jordan butt boys of the league, just like us, before LeQ left and came back.
Spurs? You love Pop's snarkiness that much to switch teams for a chip every 5 or 6 years?
Brooklyn's a joke that's less funny then we are.

Sure, go buy a GS hat. Then you can stare and post in wonder at what country or island Steph is going to buy...

I've lived through trading Clyde for Jim Cleamons.
I've lived through the fallen dreams of Sugar Ray and watching Willis try to coach.
I've been bored watching MacAdon't and Spenser Deadwood For Hire.
I've pumped my fist with Eddie Lee Wilkins, and I don't mean jacking off over that ugly jumpshot either.
I've lived through Pat Cummings.
I've laughed at Ken the Animal Bannister and Glen Gondrezick and Greg Butler.
I got pumped watching our version of badder boys in the 90's.
I loved Stark's The Dunk, I hated Riley for riding him one game too long.
I watched every moment of Ewing's swan song of '99 and watching Spree drag us through to the Finals while putting up with H20's occassional dissolving act.
I still hate Charlie Ward for being... Charlie Ward.
I've cried through the uselessness of McDyess, Curry, James Jones James or whatever that useless overpaid pile of crap was named from Seattle

Honestly, there's no where else to go, in my opinion.

I got the Yanks, the Gints, and the Knicks. Not about to change sports fandom geography just because things suck for a few decades...
