I think they have a roster in place with young players drafted scouted and brought in to be "skill" players that rely on jump shots to score not dribble reckless drives to the basket with supreme athleticism ... the type of talent we have we will not see players drive to the basket with no fear.
Just makes sense in a rebuild year to stick with the game plan but allow Horny full control in a way that he can make the players feel loose and comfortable shooting open looks.
I see these features
1- push the ball off a defensive stop
2- see if there is a quick easy open shot
3- space the floor
4- run a screen/roll with 1-4 spacing
Or
1- if scored on, bring the ball up with a 2 guard set up
2- set up Triangle
3- look for best shot available
I think we will see Horny get the team more shots and pace all season this year.
Key will be if they will have the players that can get back on defense. Have a motor on D. Last year they did not .
