I have heard the term “ISO ball” time and time again. IMO this is a mislabel. From many of the games I’ve watched over the past few years whenever Melo took a step back on offense the team struggled. I for one like the ball in Melo’s hands as more times than not we get a quality shot up. I’ve seen too many times KP struggling in the post against the other teams PG (consistently), Lee being indecisive…and no thank you on any jump shot by Noah.

We need players around Melo OR at the very least KP needs step up his game. You need a solid 1-2 or 1-3-3 punch to make some noise. Im sorry guys need to cut out this ISO Melo reference and calling the man selfish…Do you know him personally to call him selfish?? I'm not in the lockeroom but from what I can tell he is well liked by his teammates.

You know I would want it in his hand if he shot 50% from the floor and got everyone involved. Like his peers.

My point was when he passes in crucial situation more times than not he teammates miss or the ball comes back to find him. I really don't think Melo is opposed to passing more, he doesn't come off that way, but guys need to start executing. I didn't mind Rose too much because there were a lot of times he willed a basket when others didn't. Rose faults were his 2 pt shooting and drives to the hole foul or not he barely missed. KP and Lee lacked aggression.

Rose and Melo play no Defense. They stop the ball on offense for their own personal offense. They do NOTHING to help the other players get easy baskets.

They play losing basketball. Their careers show it.

There's a reason that the Warriors and Spurs move the ball so much. It's to weaken the defense and get THE BEST shot. There are times when you want a great scorer to get a One on One scoring opportunity WITHIN the flow of the offense when everyone is ready for it. The problem is when a player goes ISO by breaking the offense or STOPS THE BALL during the flow of the offense that is not expected or a player forces a shot against multiple defenders as opposed to letting the ball move and getting a great shot.

This narrative is bogus. His team miss his passes made. The object of the game is to make the right play. If the teammates continue to miss shot then the team can address it. Stop blaming his teammates for his ineptitude.

Warriors and Spurs have completely different rosters. Specifically, level of talent. Star players on both teams are better than Melo. Supporting cast also better.

I would love the ball to move but what I have seen is when the ball does baskets don't drop or ball makes it back to Melo's hand. Maybe with a better offensive scheme, players having a better mind set to execute we can move ball with some success. My point is don't put the teams failure all on Melo. Players need to execute. No excuse for KP to not dominate in the post against a PG. Did you not see KP struggles time and time again? Time for KP to play like an alpha...he has the talent.

Agree about KP. How can a guy 7'3" not get the shot he wants against a player almost a foot smaller? He needs to go to Hakeem and learn the post. Hopefully the strength training this summer is going to help hold his position better.
