Many will agree with the decision and the media had lots to do with kicking Phil to the curb. I for one, while not necessarily a triangle promponent, appreciate system basketball. Phils vision was increasingly clear. Like Pops in San Antonio, bring in foreign young professionals who will listen and allow a system to develop as opposed to ball dominant ISO-Melo ball. Legacy: Billy and KP and perhaps 'Kina. That trio may one day prove Phil was right and this nail in the coffin the wrong move.

Let's face it wasn't going to end well anyway. I've said it before, this was going to be a Larry Brown like season for Phil, so better to end it now.

I just think it's a terrible move if this is true. No reason to fire Phil Jackson other than media scrutiny. We have to rebuild we have to build through youth period. I just don't understand why this would be happening so I'm hoping this is a rumor. We need to build through the draft and we need to keep management stable for the next two years while we do that and then reevaluate.

I'm all for rebuilding. I want a GM who understands modern basketball to do it, though - not a guy who mocks 3 pointers and thinks Melo, Lee, Thomas, and Noah are worth almost $300 mil.

BUT, does Dolan install someone who is going to rebuild or someone who is going to starphuck?
In my opinion Jackson was mostly terrible and seemed to be running the team to prove the triangle was still relevant however he didn't trade picks which was definitely a good move.

Let's see what happens.

Yeah, we'll have to wait and see who the replacement.
Phil is gone and so is the Triangle.
