The Nuggets just added 2015 lottery pick Trey Lyles and Tyler Lydon in this past draft who- along with Kenneth Faried- both play Hernangomez's position Does this make Hernangomez a bit more expendable to the Nuggets?

Personally, I'd love his fit with this team and I think that he can be an asset in helping ease some of the negative energy on the team. He's obviously Willy's brother, who is KP's best friend- maybe Juan can help enhance that dynamic and make NY feel more like a nurturing environment. Just a thought.

I'm thinking that we might get something done with Kyle O'Quinn and Mindaugas Kuzminskaus as the framework for a deal. With the cap increase not as steep as anticipated, I think that the Nuggets might be a bit more judicious in throwing big money at a guy like Mason Plumlee to come off the bench, which would open the door to a deal like this. If my other proposal to acquire OG Anunoby by absorbing DeMarre Carroll's contract from TOR is feasible, I might even be inclined to include Anunoby, if the Nuggets were willing to give us back a pair of future 2nd rounders.

I have heard that the Nuggets love Juancho. Maybe one of the other guys gets moved.

So Lyles appears to be another disappointment from a draft most of us considered to be VERY deep. Interesting.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

He's only 21, so there's still hope. But isn't every draft deep lol

Denver is trying to save money and as many 6'6-6'8" players as possible..... they are trying to keep up with golden State as far as versatility

He had a sophomore slump, which is a thing. I wouldn't write him off just yet but haven't seen much of him to be honest. Even so, it's clear that the Nuggets thought highly enough of him to move 6 spots back in a talented draft to get him. And say what you will of the Nuggets but they have an eye for talent and generally have come out on top when splitting an asset (e.g. Doug McDermott for Jusuf Nurkic and Gary Harris).

And then what better player to have, than someone who is 6"6'-6"8' that is capable of spacing the floor and guarding all 5 positions like Anunoby? Then when you sprinkle in a Kyle O'Quinn who could be an elite backup at the 5 and Kuzmingaus, how do they say no to the deal?

Even if they move someone, they still have a major glut at their 4 spots. And a good portion of that glut has come from moves they just made (i.e. Lyndon and Lyles). Why make the move for those guys, if the intent is to move them again?

Rumor surrounding the Nuggets draft is that they expected Anounby to fall, which is the only reason they traded back. After all, why not pick up an asset if you can get the guy you want? Their miscalculation though could be our gain, if we are able to get Anounby for them. And unlike Faried, Juancho, Lyndon and Lyles, Anounby could defend 3's and do so well. So why not make the deal and add one of the league's best backup 5's on a cost controlled contract as well?

Oh, come on! The Nuggets are just trolling me now by adding Paul Millsap who plays the same position as....you guessed it: Juan Hernangomez. Can we just get this guy already?
