The Celtics have offered the Knicks a deal for Kristaps Porzingis that includes their No. 3 pick, an additional lottery pick that they think they can acquire tonight and a player, executives familiar with Boston's offer told ESPN. Obviously, the trade would be contingent on Boston acquiring that pick, which would likely be ahead of the Knicks' No. 8 pick. It is unclear at this point if the Knicks have interest in the trade. Phil Jackson said the club is taking calls on trades for Porzingis.

Ian Begley, ESPN Staff Writer

Things are starting to get interesting. Say we draft Fox at #3 (our franchise point guard of the future), pick up Jaylen Brown as the additional player (budding prospect who played well in the clutch during the playoffs last year), and an additional 1st rounder this year ahead of us...do you consider it? And then say we draft Lauri at 8 to replace KP.

Guess what, in this scenario, we just netted 4 potential starters in one draft. Fox has the potential to be a franchise changing talent, Lauri has immense talent will be at least a starter in this league for a long time, Brown is likely a Melo replacement with prototypical small forward skills and say the additional pick nets us Monk. 4 for 1 is how I see it as far as rebuild.

Check this potential scenario from this trade: Fox, Monk, Jaylen Brown and Lauri for KP. Hello? We automatically become one of the most young, exciting teams in the lead rebuilding.

Unless you think KP is going to be a perennial all star and hall of famer in his career, this is a move you def consider for a team lacking so much talent.

It's a dream cone true if this is real. The Knicks would be a well rounded athletically skilled group. A team that fits us perfectly

Those are some sad picks.

A smart team would go Isaac, DSJR, and Collins.

Collins is a reach, I like smith but his injury issues are very concerning. Isaac is a possibility

Knicks own that pick already, WITH KP.

I just keep hearing they like Laurie and Frank. Jackson seems to be the big target from what is being reported.

Oh, I have an idea what the Knicks will do but I was talking about what a smart team would do. The knicks probably go the route you mentioned with a possibility of Monk and Mitchell being substituted for on of the players you mentioned.

Way too much negativity man. Phil has made plenty of errors but drafting has actually been a strong point

Correct. We are getting 2 lottery picks and a young player (Brown--essentially another lottery pick he's 20) for KP. 3 for 1. And we have his replacement with our lottery pick at #8. Not too bad.

Collins pretty much has it all in terms of skills. His only problem is his body, which needs to be developed, and the fact that a lot of teams in the draft have a center. He would easily go top 10 in past drafts.

I happen to love Fox. Have for a long time. But I would be thrilled with Josh Jackson there. Either way, as long as Clarence Gaines is drafting, I'll be happy. We would get a boat load of prospects/talent in return.

Me too but this year has a deep draft class. Lets face it getting 2 top 7 picks plus maybe crowder or Brown is a bigtime haul for a 2 year player. Hell it would be a big haul for Town who so far has been the better player

I like Crowder but he is going to need to get paid soon. Either trade him for another 1st rnder or get Brown
