Knicks get Deng, Randle, Brewer and #28

Indiana gets Clarkson, Ingram and the #2 pick

Knicks and Indiana take back a little more salary so the Lakers can sign CP3...

We get Randle too... we also get 2 players "like Courtney Lee" in Deng and Brewer... it sucks but what are we expecting to get back for Melo? At least with this trade we get mentally tougher with the extra vets. We set get Randle as a young piece and an extra pick in a very deep draft.

Trying to make it Sound good but Deng has 3 years left on the deal... yikes and he makes more than Paul George does... double yikes.

This trade can be moved around alot though. Indiana could take Deng or the Knicks could get that #2 pick for taking back Deng. Lots of options.... one thing that sticks out though, Paul George, Melo and CP3.... get CP3 on a short option deal and go for Westbrook even he's free.

Getting Deng is like doubling down on the Noah contract. The Knicks get the worst of that deal and I think Randle is going to have a good year.

I tried to make it Sound good but that Deng deal is atrocious. The deal could get done with a different combination of players though.

I think we are going to wind up sending Melo to Miami.
Once they miss out on Hayward (He's going to Boston or staying in Utah) I think they take on Melo with the capspace.
Send us back maybe Winslow and the 2018 draft pick (top 10 protected).
They can do this once July 1st is here as they'll have the capspace.

On our end, I think we are going to do some unpopular things. Re-signing Rose is one of them. Both Rose and Phil seem to have mad respect for each other and want to continue together. Rose's agent is Phil's former player and they are tight. Rose's agent wants Rose back in NY. I think Rose comes back for a 2 year deal.

In the draft I think we go with either Monk or Kennard. I am leaning towards us probably taking Kennard.
Free agency, outside of signing Rose we sign PJ Tucker and re-sign Baker.

Rotation .....2nd backup:
Hernangomez/O'Quinn ......Noah
Porzingis/Thomas ..........NDour
Tucker/Winslow ............Kuzminskas
Kennard/CLee ..............Sasha
Rose/Baker.................Randle
