I don't really like Evans but I could see him being a fit in the triangle. He wouldn't have to be a traditional point guard. He's just bigger and stronger than pretty much every other PG in the league

The other guy I have a lot of interest in is Taj Gibson... I wish we had him instead of Noah

this is a 85% role player FA class, and we don't really have a host of young players whose growth would be stunted. if the knicks draft a PG they will look to make a move to get a vet pg..I seriously doubt baker and randle are anything more than fall back options.

It's not so much stunting any players growth - its taking up a roster spot and killing cap flexibility.

We should have room to take advantage of player dumps like Philly has where they were able to get first round picks just for taking players off a roster.

that would be my preferred method of using cap space too

that plan hasn't gotten them any where, and anyone paying attention to philly needs go in the opposite direction....none of their 1st rnd picks have done anything including EMBiid , and they are ready to start trading them

Right, nothing says mentor like a drug suspension, and showing up out of shape, after the big payday. Noah spent a good part of the season trying to lose the excess baggage he should have gotten rid of before the season started.

Ive been a huge fan of Noah since his days at Florida, but he hasn't been much of a mentor these days, on or off the court. We still need more vets anyway, we played more rooks than any other team. Better to bring in more players who can help get the 1st and second year players get up to speed.
