I see a Rumor out there that Knicks/Twolves might swap Lee and Rubio... that could work.
Maybe Lee and Lance for Rubio and Nemanja

Don't mind if the Knicks get him but they don't need to give up much at this stage. There's PG on the market and in the draft. Don't mind losing Lee, not a fan of his.

I would rather do the original sign and trade for Rose. We need a 2 guard and we don't have a ton of depth after Lee. Unless we are definitely getting Crabbe or someone like that or we are drafting Monk?

Lee is a solid NBA role player with good defense. the 12th pick might not be anything close.
We value the concept of promise too much sometimes. A team with a need right now gets something of value in lee. A pick, might not be ready for a few years.

Off season its about on paper moves but at sometime we have real games to play.

Can't see the Wolves do that deal.
I think they would trade Rubio to us, but they would demand more than Lee.

In this scenario you take the pick and resign Holiday for $7-8M and be happy that you are younger and get two players at the cost of one.

If Lee has created this much value after shooting so well for much of the year then you cash in on your aging asset that would serve little purpose on a rebuilding squad.

Rubio can dish but Lee despite a slowdown can still play better D. I'll send em Rose as even if we get a PG at 8, they might not be ready for prime time, particularly Frank N. considering that there is all this commotion, I think Baker isn't looked at as an answer but rather rotation.

The Pistons are in a market for a PG, not an SG. I think it is far more likely to get that 12th pick using Rubio than Lee. Because of that, I'd push for a three team trade between all parties to fscilitate exactly that happening.

The Timberwolves would have been in the playoffs the past two seasons in the WEAK West if the Wolves didnt have a NO winning PG Rubio as their starter/finisher. Rubio has not learn how to win in the NBA. Lin Sanity got more creative ways of winning a game in one sneaker than Rubio have in his collection of sneakers.
No winning team want Rubio as their leading PG!

C.Lee is rumored to go to Detroit since they're looking for a seasoned vet that can mentor KCP.

If Rubio comes to NY it would be through a sign and trade since they are also interested in Rose. We can then release the rights for Rose after July 1st (that's when free agency starts) we would then have enough cap space to absorb Rubio's contract.
