If we get a second 1st rounder to take either Donovan Mitchell or Frank Jackson, who would it be and why?

I think both players can be good alternatives to the top tier guards. I prefer Mitchell due to his defense.

Neither one to be honest . I'd go with OG but I would take Mitchell and Frank over Justin Jackson

I like Frank Jackson in the 20's.

Im not a fan of Mitchell. If you can barely shoot 40% in college on a good team in your 2nd year---historically it doesnt bode well for you in the NBA. He also was a bit of a volume shooter at 13+ FG a game YET did NOT get to the FT line much. That means wed have to live with a lead starting guard who is a low efficiency offensive player

Im looking at the finals---I dont think its a smart move

Someone has promised Frank Jackson--there is no doubt in my mind.

I hate pick 8--its a terrible pick.

Mitchell is a poor playmaker thinks pass second or third -- takes way too many shots for a low % shooter although he can jump he doesn't finish 2s well. I'd definitely go with Dennis smith Frank N Isaac monk etc. I'd rather drop back get two picks and take frank mason and someone else.

In Conference play in the ACC he put up 44-40-82 18pts, 4rebs, 2.1stls, 123.7 OTG, 100.5 DTG, 207 WS/40

Frank Jackson was an off ball 4th option to Tatum, Kennard, Allen while Mitchell was the best player on his team.

Jackson will be drafted as a shooting specialist with the hopes that he could also add something more but if not settle for a shooting specialist. There are many teams that need perimeter shooting so Jackson is a needed commodity. But Mitchell has more potential.

I'd be happy with either one but really like the potential Mitchell has on both sides of the ball but F.Jackson isn't no slack on defense either, he's just not as good as Mitchell but would be the better PG of the two.

I'm not sure defense separates any pg in the nba? Can you name any instance in 2017? F Jackson has innate offensive skills that Mitchell does not and like you said-- he's an effort player on defense No doubt about it here-- F Jackson

Hypothetically, could both players play together as a backcourt in the triangle?

Mitchell isn't perfect as no prospect is but he's got a lot of talent and his defense is MUCH needed by this team. He's gonna need development as all these kids do but having a Combo guard who can play Off the Ball, has Elite Physical talent and Defense would be a huge plus. Mitchell can guard 1,2&3 that's not a small thing. The decision making has to improve but he's not going to have to be CP3 in this offense.
