I said 3 months ago that Swanigan might remind Phil Jackson of Willis Reed he's a fantastic skill player who really rebound and passes the ball very well. Not a shot blocker and doesn't run the floor that great. But my bet is jackson likes him

He would be a great guy to get if he is there at 44. He probably goes higher though.

I know Swanigan has dropped a lot of weight but I think he needs to drop 15-20 more lbs

He would be a great pickup. I can see him becoming a good 3rd big man behind porzingis and willy.

Well after seeing him choose to stay in the draft right after working out for the Knicks kinda makes you think he might of gotten a draft promise from the Knicks.

H.Diallo pulled out of his workout with the Knicks today.

Am I the only one who gets a Sheldon Williams vibe from this guy. The weight, the lack of athleticism etc. Hope I'm wrong.

I dont think he stays till 44. He measured at 6-8.5 with a 7-3 wingspan and a pretty svelte 245. He looked 260 easy in school--so maybe hes down a bit?
Hes a skill player and a quality rebounder--a good passer and can hit a mid range shot out to 3--so hes a triangle fit.

44 seems about right. He is lost in a glut of skilled guys probably lacking NBA size or athleticism, college seniors, euro talent worth stashing and wildcard players like Diallo that nobody knows about.

I see a poor man's Ben Wallace. The lack of hops will hurt any shotblocking, but he can clean glass for sure. Something like a DeJuan Blair before his knees blew out.

Kid looks like a Frankenstein monster. He has no lateral quickness. He is a physical presence for sure. I like guys like this but how does he fair against guys that can simply go around him in the perimeter? I'd give him a Al Jefferson comparison... like his older brother, except he's not older.

Willis reed, 1964 rookie of the year at PF was a high flying slim antonio mcdyess type player (young dice)
The "Captain" Willis who was our champ MVP was a different player. Knee problems slow willis down and he became more of a power player.
21 year old guys with weight problems are second rounders at best.

Yeah a little more respect for Willis. He was a mobile player. A stretch 4-5 by 2017 standards.... like Kevin Love just gangster times ×100

I think this is a guy Phil moves up to get. Sure there's someone selling a late 1st/early 2nd - or we could trade O'Quinn or others for that type of haul.

The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

His 40 min numbers are

23 points 15 rebounds 4 assists 1 block--I think what Phil might like is that he fits their system. Not only would he be the best passing big coming in--he has the post game can hit a FT rebounds well but can also hit a 3.

Here's the thing. KOQ averaged 15ppg, 13rebs, 3.5assists, 3 blocks per/36 mins AND led the team in WS/48

And we have Plumlee, Willy, Noah and KP to get minutes there also. Kinda begs the question... whats the point. Are we shopping KOQ? If we got a pick for him that might be something. He had a very good year and was often a bright spot. If we are developing and working on improving with in we have a player on our own roster trending upward that folks are ignoring.

Was very suprised by the 246 weigh in. This guy knows what he has to do.
