2002 Bulls Scrimmage
Check out highlights from the team's 2002 free scrimmage--Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford show some of their best stuff on the UC court.

Jamal is #1.

One thing he's not short on is hops. With Jamal and TT you have two guys around Marbury that can really throw it down. You might actually see the Knicks dunk the ball now and again :)

Thanks Fish. I've been excited about Crawford. He's got undeniable skills and I think he can reach his potential in the right environment.

Of course it doesn't. I said he has undeniable skills because I've seen him play (not because of that video). The video was still cool though

Another thing that video gave me a preview of was what the NYK interior defense should look like this year with Nazr and Vin 'manning' the paint....

But Jamal has skills. For those who've never seen him display them in an actual game, you'll have to believe us. He will be good.

Now Zeke just needs to find us a big...next summer...

yea... Iverson isnt really fair. Iverson is in a class by himself.

He's kind of unique. He's not physical enough... he's got true PG skills. Great handle and passing. Iverson is the only guy who has a crossover like Crawford's. If he plays two he's going to give guys real fits because he's such a tough guard there. Great dunker. Great at splitting defenders. No good on man to man D because at 6'5 190 he's not strong and doesnt have the size like someone like Houston at 6'6 210 has.
He's wicked fast. Can he turn that speed into something special on defense? We will see.

If I had to compare him to someone it would be a MUCH more explosive Larry Hughes.

never seen Crawford play really, but from the posts it seems like he is a cross between Rip and AI.

well... thats what you hope the upside is. Rip has one of the best midrange games in NBA and shoots for a much higher %. Crawford has more range but is less controled. Iverson is a league MVP, so I'm not mentioning Crawford in the same breath.

Jamal is a unique talent and has some bigtime skills. He's only 24 and only played 1 year in college. In a couple years Jamal could be one of the most underrpaid players in the league, or he could be the next Larry Hughes with a bigger contract.

He is fast, young, explosive and fits into what Isiah wants to mold the team into.

I can live with it either way because for once we got a player on the upside of his career. When was the last time that happened? Camby? Probably Allen Houston.

i think this team needs an assistant coach (unless we already have that guy) that WILL take advantage of the team's speed for defense. if you look at us now, marbury, crawford, jyd, tim, ariza - this makes up a pretty fast team that has the potential to cause ALOT of fits on defense. we could almost return to the full court press days of pitino and just have crawford bug the hell out of the guy bringing up the ball. man, a player like gadzuric, dalembert, or swift would be PERFECT for this team.
