ok, dampier is gone and its time 2 finally move on. I still think even w/ out damp we will b very good next year but we still have a chance to get better. a while back i posted the idea of trading for lorenzan wright. now dont jump all over me. we have a big log jam at the 4 with sweetney, jerome and kt. and in truth we only have one center and he is undersized. wat about trading kt 4 lorenzan wright and a pick. this way we no longer have a log jam at the 4 as it opens up the spot 4 sweetney 2 start and jerome 2 bac up, and we trade out minutes btween nazr and wright. this deal gives the knicks a more athletic front court and it gives sweetney a chance 2 b nxt years break out star.
thoughts?

Grizz need Wright, they have 3 PFs in Gasol, Swift and Cardinal.

Wright for KT straight up i think might be a possibility, but not if you're asking MEM for a pick on top of it...KT's contract runs 2 years longer than Wright's does, & Wright is younger...KT's a better player overall, but i think Jerry West wouldn't give up a pick to get him.

If we want Kwame we would have to give up Sweetney. That is why I proposed Sweetney and Kurt or Naz for Kwame & Haywood.

No way the Wiz trade Brown even though to date he has been a disappointment. Plus their GM Grunfeld has a chip on his shoulder from the the Knicks let him go.

Not now. Maybe if Kwame has a bad season this year and Nazy has a good one, they might do it next summer (when we can trade the player we draft in the first round too)

Even with Sweetney involved in a trade with Washington, they are high on both Brown and Haywood. Brown had a 30 19 game against sacramento in the latter half of the season last year. Both have shown better production with increasing minutes and both are strong, young, athletic and play the C. No way are they trading any of those two, let alone to NY.

Well I do think it's unrealistic to think the Knicks could pull off a Nazy and a pick for Brown trade this summer, but I don't think the Wizards are nearly as high on Kwame as you make it sound. I'm sure if they could re-do the draft knowing what they know now, they wouldn't even think of drafting him.

With Damps gone it's pretty slim pickings; IMO we'd be better off riding the pine with a Baker/Nazr and hope Thomas packages our expiring contract for an athletic big or we find a gem in the draft. I personally would not like to have Kwame, he's got small hands and is undeniably soft we'd be better off keeping Sweets.

Small hands or not, Kwame reminds me too much of the Kandi man. No motivation in him. I don't what him either.

It's too early to tell if Pau Gasol will be a better player than K. Brown ... All I'm saying, is that if Brown continues to progress like he did last year, Washington would be foolish to trade him this summer.

I still remember Kandi's agent saying knowing what he knows now, the only player he'd pick ahead of Kandi in that draft is Nowitski! What a waste of space.

Pau vs Brown, so far it's been no contest, Pau's got skills likes to bang and he's got the right attitude. He was 2nd to Shaq in dunks in the regular season during his rookie year. I hear he sulks once in a while but nothing on the level of cleanex Kwame.

I think Washington's pretty much given up on him being a franchise player but they will be more than happy having Brown turn into a player who avgs 17pt 9rbd and a block a game which I have a feeling is all that he is capable of which is none too shaby.

Dude, It is not too early to tell if Pau will be better or Kwame will be better. Pau is amazing. He is an elite compared to Brown. Hell, he is an elite. I would put him only half a tier under Duncan, Garnett and Jermaine. Kwame doesn't even belong in the same league as these guys.
