baker has the knicks slightly by the blls. im confident he can get 1.6mm from more than a few clubs--he's likely going to force the knicks hand up to 3+mm a year for 3 years.

knicks should remain patient and dont over pay baker. obviously they may have to pay him more, but they better keep it reasonable. bring in a marcus douthit or another yung big with potential. dont waste time with guys like clark unless baker bails. bringing in baker and clark would be foolish IMHO.

I don't think Isiah is going to overpay Vin. Vin will get a part of the MLE for at least two years. If it is three years then that third year should be optional. Remember Vin WANTS to play for the Knicks while Cleveland was interested in him.

Keon would be an upgrade from a roughly 40 yr old Mutombo. They're both comparably good shot blocks and comparably mediocre at man to man defense. The only big difference is that Keon is a thousand times faster

we do have 3 PFs and one C Baker would make it 2 but where is Keon Clark playing?

we could use some more depth i guess but wouldnt it make sense to find a younger guy very cheap? we are NOT winning a championship what exactly doe sbringing in both baker and clark do? someone is going to sit quite a bit.

i dont want baker either--i dont think its condusive to re-tooling but the knicks want to atleast win 41 -42 games or so and make the playoffs. Maybe we should slightly over pay dan gadzuric--something like 3 years 10mm atleast he represents shot blocking athletiscm and youth. To me Baker should get 1.5mm from the LLE
