they were +.500 in the west last year and have added

Carlos boozer 6-9 260
Momo Okur 6-11 250
Kris Humphries 6-9 245
Kirk Snyder 6-6 225

and get back Harpring 6-8 245
Bochardt 7-0 260
and Collins 7-0 260

to go with
with kirielenko arroyo raja bell giricek mo williams lopez

the oldest guys on the team is 28 this is the most physical team in the nBA IMHO with the best coach. this team could be a sleeper to go to the finals and actually win

they're certainly built in the Detroit mold. I think they're still missing a shooting guard. I also think Okur is extremely overrated and Boozer is somewhat overrated. AK47 is a top ten player in the league though. Arroyo is very good. Harpring is solid. I'd say 50 wins and maybe a 4/5 seed. Second round in the playoffs.

On paper they look pretty good. But there is still 82+ games to be played. Then we'll see.

I kinda think that half of the NBA is overrated. Okur is a near 7-footer who is young, mobile and has tons of upside. That's not overrated. Overpaid perhaps, but not overrated.

Snyder and Humphries looked awful at times in the SL, and there were other times they looked good. There was never a time when I was watching that I said "Wow, this guy's gonna be awesome."

Who is going that team's go-to guy? I love Kirilenko, but don't view him as anything more than the league's best jack of all trades. Arroyo looks great against the US, but is an average NBA PG.

I think they'll be a very good team, esp. if Arroyo continues to play well and they stay healthy, but a sleeper to go to a Finals and win is a huge stretch. I don't think they have the firepower to match either the T'Wolves or Spurs, or the depth to match the Pistons.

Also, Dallas just got a lot more legit by adding Dampier. I don't think Utah is better than Dallas.

Terry/Harris
Finley/Daniels
Howard/Stackhouse
Dirk
Damps/Pavel

Damn, that's a deep squad.

Damps is exactly t he kind of player Dallas has needed for a long time. I think they're a fantastic team now.

If Dampier actually decides to play hard when he's not in a contract year, and that's a HUGE if, he's exactly the type of player Dallas has needed for a long time now.

If Terry and Harris can handle the PG duties, I personally like Harris a lot and think he will be a huge addition for them, the Mavs are going to be one tough team.

i really dont understand why GS would take that deal over the one we were offering. eduardo's contract sucks, and both are not very productive. at least they could have given players who will contribute and whose contracts arent much worse, plus we could have given cash too.

It's a good deal for GS considering that they were not under any circumstances going to keep Dampier. They get rid of Eschmeier (sp?) and get two picks for a player they weren't going to keep anyway./ Many teams that wanted Dampier (NY, Indiana, Atlanta, Memphis) all lost out because Cuban offered the best package.

They do not add any salary for the 2005-2006 season and they get 2 first rounders. Keeps them flexible for FA signings next year.

In addition, I'd rather owe Najera $17 mil than owe Eschmeyer $11 mil. Plus they get an expiring contract and two picks.

It would be kind of nice to be under the cap but not in NY. The salary cap should be destroyed in the next cba.

Utah is scary, and very well could be championship contenders. AK47 is something else.

Boozer and okur will be monsters this season because of sloan.

That guy can change stone into gold. When you see what he could do with shandon and eisely, I fear the worst.

They will more than 50 games. I'd even say 55. They'll play every night at full level, will be strictly prepared. If I was malone, I'd go back to Utah just to have a chance to get my ring and retire with the team that drafted me.

Utah did a brilliant Rebuild! Both thru the draft and using the free agency very smart. no Starphuching, use the money to get size.

Okur is a Euro type center. Not a banger, that's booz's job.

Harpering can play SG. He is big and can shoot. Humph will not be called upon to play big minutes. He can learn!

This team can be a year or two away from serious play.

Great job on paper and a interesting team to watch.

Sounds like some knick fans are with a little envy! A little green. Hey, its a small market team that does not bury itself with salary. The fans never left and bought into the rebuild. Sloan was brilliant keeping that team competitive last year.

They are polar opposites of Knick operations.

I'd add : "They are polar opposites of <insert nba team name> operations."
