When he was wincing in pain and trying to shake off the pain I had a feeling something bad was going on again with his shoulder. SMH. Boy did that signing not work out.

Great pic. Is it the same shoulder? Also, he was having trouble with a shoulder but was playing through it.

Any aspects of the CBA that can allow us to dump him and not take a cap hit...

I thought he could get into some shape and be decent next season...had forgotten about those moments during the season when he had shoulder issues.

Seem to recall he may have hurt this later in the season? Is that right?

Showing up out of shape wasn't a great start to the season, you could see that he was packing some pounds there. Then came the season, and the drug suspension. I would have thought Noah would have put more of his well known (and well deserved) heart and soul into coming home. Not to mention the salary of someone who spent last season on the bench.

I really doubted that Noah could be starter quality again, given his injuries. But I never thought he would crash and burn this season like he did. Best case scenario he gets traded to Minny. Second best scenario, he becomes a decent backup.

Fire Phil, James. His signature moves have turned out to be nothing short of a disaster.

Cue apologists, who will point out that he didn't trade any future first round picks.

The only positive, is maybe Noah can be a positive contributor, at least in a limited fashion - if he can get fixed up.

But honest, Noah owes it to us to retire. Allow him to collect and for us to get his contract moved off the cap.

Well he had the same season ending surgery last year, assuming it's the same shoulder...He was out a month prior to that with the same shoulder before reinjuring It which led to season end surgery..You would have to think it never completely healed..Where is our medical staff on this??..Didn't anyone conduct a physical on the strength of his shoulder?

Phil pulled on his arm, as I recall.

How is this even possible? Did he injure it falling out of bed? If it happened in the season, why wasn't it taken care of months ago?

This kind of injury for big NBA player is signaling the end of the playing carrier.
He should get to writing book for children full time.
He has the money so time to enjoy retirement.
He can even take his body Rose with him to fade in the sunset...

Noah is one of the worst signings in franchise history. Leave it at that.... apologist? What's that even mean? Truth is we did have all our picks.... That's a good thing worth pointing out. Noah isn't hurting us as much as Melo is. We're going to trade Melo... Rose won't be resigned. Noah will be our only bad contact. He Still has an opportunity to contribute as a veteran presence behind the rookies. We actually need that.

Dolan said he's not firing Phil. If you took a step back you would realize that firing Phil and starting over with a new philosophy is suicide. We need to hold on these next 2 seasons and then reevaluate. We need to make this Melo trade and draft well with the 3 picks we have and undrafted players were sure to get. In 2 years we should have a fruitful crop of talent. Maybe even habe a winning team on our hands. We have to be patient right now.

Noah free throw shooting percentage was 49% this past season, just like the previous year when he played with an injured shoulder..Prior to the shoulder injury, he shot above 70%..So seems like he never recovered..

IMO, this is a blessing in disguise. It means that if we can jettison Melo the decks are cleared for a full rebuild with Hornacek free of the obligatory big contract/big minutes obligations.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks didn't draft a big in the second round. The game is changing yet again with the introduction of so many skilled big men in the NBA pipeline.

Noah can take the year off or prepare to just play in the playoffs as bench strength assuming no further setbacks.
