I talked about him on a couple of other threads--he was a big time POINT guard in high school at 6-4. And if anyone watches Oregon knows the guy can handle the ball. He doesnt handle the primary ball-handling responsibilities for O and I think that has held him back a bit. Once they lost Chris Boucher--his role changed--the court opened up and he has averaged 24 points game the last 8. This more of a triangle PG--one who can play defense with size a marksman from 3 point line athletic defense with length and doesnt turn the ball over.

I liked what I saw of him. Definitely someone the Knicks should bring in. I'm sure Gaines knows all about him.
Gaines looks specifically for players that have the kind of game and skills that can be successful in the Triangle or any type of Team Style.

This dude looked good, wish they would capture as much footage of these kids playing defense as well.
I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

Always a problem...have to watch him for a full game to really see his D...and then you want to see him playing against a quality opponent.

Have not looked at him at all...will have to before the draft.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

please dont get bias from a kid getting hot in the NCAA tourny (see Shabazz Napier). solid ncaa player who has a shot at making a roster cuz he can SHOOT. but hes a late 1st rder/2nder who could succeed based on WHERE hes drafted to. #RECENCYBIAS
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Briggs,

Im not being snarky, Just was wondering if you changed your view on Dorsey after the game the other nite?
I saw some good things from him. It was a tough game for them, the fought a good fight.

That was a big time stage.

Pick 44 hes a high caliber prospect no doubt about it. The NY Knicks absolutely need specialty players who can knock down the three. He is much more than that as he can handle the ball. Hes almost a no brainer if hes in the draft and sitting there at 44. I like Jason Hart there too.

In his last 8 games Dorsey made 29/52 3's avg 23.1 points 4 rebounds 2 assists 2 steals with an eFG over 70%. Hes got fantastic form. A great 2nd round type pick. The Knicks --whatever they6 may do--cant lose site of the fact that the 3 ball is an IMPORTANT part of the NBA now.

Yeah I dont think you pick guys like Thansis in rd 2 in this NBA.. Defense cant be skill 1. If we want to compete--we need some quality 3 point shooters to put around our big guys. To me FG% counts Im still an open book--lets see who is in who is out of this draft.
