I would...

I know we ****ted on him and he might have burned his bridge... side story with that is he had Shump and JR and a bunch of other toxic avenger guiding him. He butted heads with Melo openly. We traded him to get a stud college point guard... Jerian Grant is a bumb. So check it... Hardaway strikes me as a guy that doesn't back down from a challenge and he might have unfinished business here. We also have a hole at the shooting guard spot. Hardaway is our pick. If he comes back for reletively cheap i believe he could stick at shooting guard. He's gotten better in the areas we needed him to.

Bottom line I say bring the prodigal son back. Let's finish what we started

The critique of his game was correct. Which is y he was sent to the D league a couple of times early on with ATL. But he to his credit out in the work to become a better player. Even so he stop, needs to do more away from the ball. But he has turned into a good scorer.

We know he can light it up. He's putting it on the floor better now and he's becoming more involved everywhere else. That was his drsw back. He's much improved

Once a knick.........

He has worked on his game. I have no problem with him when he was here, or when traded.
I doubt he'd let his ego get in the way of burnt bridges, if the money is right and its a good playing opportunity he would be a fool to not be a knick.
Its a business, many of us fans don't consider this. The "He is from NY" or "He wants to be here" seems to weigh heavy for fans.
Bottom line is money, playing time, and when the money is good, "Winning".

I was never a fan of his either. I would rather just keep Lee, who seems to be a better defender.

We have a whole at SG?? C.Lee has 3 more years on his contract and he plays both sides of the court which Timmy doesn't do and C.Lee seems like a really good teammate. I guess either one of Timmy/C.Lee could play SF in small ball lineups but i'm not sure Timmy would start over C.Lee especially when we need defense which i just read an article that i'm about to make a thread with about Hornachek saying the focus of Phil and Mills will be defense this off season in free agency and the draft.

I gotta give it up to Timmy for working hard to become a better player though but only offensively.

So we shouldn't look too improve the 2 guard spot? Lee doesn't have the ability to be a lead guard. He's a role player. Junior has the potential to breakout into a 18-20pt a game scorer. If Junior did that then having Lee back him up would be fantastic

Don't be a f'in azzhole. Do you work at being an azzhole or does it come naturally?

Hear, hear! THJ will break your heart. Still clueless on defense. I don't think his game has turned the corner yet.

Me asking you to join the conversation is being an *******? I think you asking if he's a free agent is assholish because just like you posted it you could have googled it and made a better contribution. Don't get mad at me. Maybe you could have called me out on something better. I'm the best guy here. I'm not looking to start no ****. Especially with a big red dog.

Exactly. There's only a few players in the league that are so bad I wouldn't want them at any price. And there's also only a few who are so good that I'd take them at any price. With everyone else, it depends on the cost.

Didn't play the game the right way when he was here. Yes, it is a dysfunctional franchise, the coaching situation was a mess, the offensive system is a mess, the owner is a mess, the "Star" player is a mess, but you are still responsible to be a professional.

Ship has sailed on this guy. When things are rolling good for him, he's OK, when the chips are down, he regresses to his true character.

Knicks need guys who will go to war in any situation. Good, bad, ugly. Out of principle. Out of how they choose to be a professional and how they choose to play the game. Grant Hill, at the very end, was welcome on any team he wanted to be on.

Spurs and Warriors were pretty lucky in that they got talented guys who have good character in terms of playing the game and the common sense to play true team basketball.

Don't judge Hardaway when things are going good, judge him for when things went bad, how did he react.

You know what they say about getting back with an ex wife or an ex girlfriend? It's like putting your old gym clothes back on after you just took a shower.

Going back to Tim Hardaway Jr is like getting back with a toxic ex after you've broken free of her. It's putting back on some sweaty and rancid and rank gym clothes after you just took a clean shower.

I could dig it.... but you repeated that shower and gym clothes analogy one too many times. I got it without that lame analogy
