There is no question that Craw and Eddy Curry are the best of friends.....
They talked about them becoming a dynamic duo down the line if they stayed together.

For the sake of conversation in the slow week the Knicks have been having......Do you think it's possible for the Knicks to get Curry with Crawford on the Knicks?

Sign and trade maybe when Penny's contract has a year left? The Bulls seem to love trading expiring contracts for young talent.

Maybe that's why the basketball gods won't let the Knicks get Dampier.

no way we can get curry.

Chicago could get much more than what we have. (memphis, indiana, phoenix...).

So don't even think about it, you're tiring your neuronas for nothing.

I keep hearing all this, Teams can get more for this player or that player than what the knicks can offer, yet memphis turned the bulls down on a curry/ Erob for Swift and bonzi deal, so obviously the kids value is not at a all time high...

depends on his year... he could be a monster or just fat and inconsistant. Time will tell.

I don't comprehend this at all. Eddie Curry makes 4mm a year and Penny makes 14mm. On top of that Eddie is just starting his career while Penny is finishing his. I understand everybody has their own opinions but there is more of a chance that little green men will wake up in your bed tomorrow.

This year is sort of a make or break year....

He had a fairly decent year though....he was 14/6/1 in 29 mins....

He just seems like he plays to be rich not really to be great.

I think he has some of the best post moves in basketball.

He can look really dominant at times then he just seems like someone is keeping him from happy hour at the Sizzler....

so would you say there is a "0.001% chance?"

While I dont see much chance of this happening at all I did wake up this weekend and my 3-year-old daughter had climbed into bed and brought her oversized stuffed Shrek doll, so you can never say never.

Curry could be nice, but he's not the kind of center this current squad needs. If we are talking young guys I would rather put the time and money into Samuel Dalembert.

Look, only a fool will argue Curry's talent. He's got the talent, skills and body to be the next most dominant bigman in the NBA, but I think we should set our sights lower. Dalembert reminds me of a young Ratliff.

I'm not saying this is the guy we should get, rather this is the type of guy we should get.

It's just a thought....I'm not saying "Isiah must get Curry" Like I'm a recomending lunch or something.

Chicago is probably done with trades cuz they will be dumping alot of salary anyway in 2 years anyway.

When Curry is free in 2 years would he do like Craw and sit out the whole summer until he can get down on the same team like his boy?

I don't wanna talk about USA basketball or Dampier....those subjects are just blah......

Well don't the Knicks need a post threat? We'll know pretty soon if Sweetney is that dude.....

Dalembert would be good but he's an anchor type of player that you just stick in the middle after you have 1-4 taken care of....I doubt Philly lets him walk....They have Kenny Thomas, Robinson, Iverson and a few decent dudes to switch at the 2....they good for the moment.

The current Knicks aren't that much better than that now that I think about it.....

What's the plan then cuz outside of Dampier what is plan "B"?

right now I see us as having 1-4 taken care off. There is always room for improvement and adjustments. Heck, Det traded Stackhouse for Rip Hamilton the after they went from 32-50 to 50-32. Stackhouse who had won a scoring title shot less, played more D and got his teammates involved more. Then they traded him.

First things first. He have some post scoring. We have zero athleticism in the frontcourt. On paper the other pieces have potential.

It's just talent in the Front court....KT is too limited to jumpshooting....Nazr seems like he gets tired after a few decent plays.....

At the three I think the Knicks can't get much better than Tim Thomas. Dude does what a 3 is supposed to do.

If it's not Damp, or Swift.....who should the Knicks go after like between now and the Feb trading deadline?

I read an interesting 4-way trade proposal by someone on Realgm.com:

Knicks get: Eddy Curry & Antonio Davis

Chicago gets: Shareff Abdul-Rahim, Naz Mohammed, Moochie Norris

Portland gets: Wally Szerberiack & Eddie Robinson

Minnesota gets: Kurt Thomas & Ruben Patterson

Don't know if the Bulls bite on this, but it's something they may consider.

Gross. I don't know why anyone involved would do that. The only thing it does is move around ugly contracts.

Just a thought:

New York trades: PF Mike Sweetney (4.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.8 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 24.6 minutes)
New York receives: C Eddy Curry (14.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 29.5 minutes)
SF Eddie Robinson (6.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 20.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +9.2 ppg, +1.7 rpg, and +0.2 apg.

Chicago trades: C Eddy Curry (14.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 29.5 minutes)
SF Eddie Robinson (6.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 20.1 minutes)
Chicago receives: PF Mike Sweetney (4.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.3 apg in 42 games)
SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 80 games)
Change in team outlook: -9.2 ppg, -1.7 rpg, and -0.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

We can also include Naz and take back Pippen in this trade as well.

We can sign a guy like Marcus Fizer who is still young and has a somewhat similar game to Sweetney's

I think Curry has a chance to be a special player in this league and we should try to make some effort to aquire him.
