Is this the continued effect of AAU basketball on the NBA? You have these parents who are all in starting at the age of 8 who hold their kids back a year in school so that they will have the physical advantage over the other kids. The path to the NBA for some parents starts in the 4th grade. Is this another example of AAU ball changing the game?

I really don't know if the media is making more of LaVar Ball's dad's comments then there really is, but he is sounding like your typical AAU nightmare parent shouting from the stands.
