Just got home from the Knicks game. Wifey surprised me with tickets - I guess she doesn't listen to my rants about tanking and not supporting the knicks. Lol

here are some (obvious) observations....
- they're running the triangle but nothing is intuitive to them. You can tell they're thinking too much instead of playing
- melo is older now and you can tell. He barely jumps or runs hard. However he still has a deadly jumper and quick release
- willy hernangomez is all elbows and fights hard. I like his toughness
- baker is STRONG and can hold his own defensively.
- rose has no court vision or awareness at all. He's a scorer who happens to be masquerading as a pg.
- lastly, despite a blizzard and a horrible team, the garden was PACKED. All races, colors, religions, ages, shapes and sizes. MSG is a cultural landmark that visitors like to attend. the garden will ALWAYS be packed

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

That's great! Imagine a day soon when the team has young new studs exciting the Garden crowd. Let's hope your next game you get to watch a new Knicks core on the court!!! 😁

Thanks for the write up. It was a fun game to watch. You always want the Knicks to win when you go to see them. Glad you were able to make it.

I didn't even watch the game last night. The Net loss did me in.

I know they won't but as a fan, I would like to see them win 14 in a row and make the playoffs. I know its better to go 0-14.

Good stuff.

Man, more and more I'm impressed with Baker. The dude just moves his feet and fights through picks like we have not seen on these Knicks since the Ewing era. If this guy can figure out his shot, he will be a long term keeper for the team. Just love his tenacity and passing and vision; he is making Rose look like a fool in that department (albeit that's not too hard).

was the crowd chanting melo's name at the end of the game when he hit the FT's to ice it? That was a little surprising if they were.

yeah. they were sarcastically shouting MVP

for the first time it occurred to me that melo might be TOAST. he looked old running up and down the court. just looked tired

It's weird to me to see a 32 year old who is 6'8" who can barely dunk the ball. And when he has a switch and defender who is incredibly slow, Melo will still settle for the outside jumpshot instead of going around the guy and heading to the basket. I can't remember a year where he hasn't had too many dunks at all.

Can't tell if it's the knee or if he has gained weight. We do know that Melo was scared of ANY type of surgery (and that's a reasonable thing really) and it would also suggest that he may be hesitant to do that types of workouts and (how do you say) legal steroid-like enhancement.

Next time, burn the things. Clearly you are some sort of goodluck charm (since we won) and I won't have you ****ing up our tank-job.

If he plays the rest of the season, that would be 80 games, he would be in the top 5% of the league in games played this season.

Only 4 players in the entire league played 82 games last season, that's 4
out over 500 players. Your like a cal ripkin if you can play all 82 these days..lol
