and inserted Alan Williams Derrick Jones and Tyler Ulis--and have won 3 straight games. Tanking doesnt mean you are just going to lose. It means it gives you the ability to look at guys IN GAME with extended minutes that wouldnt get them otherwise.

So maybe Phil is tanking by letting Melo and Rose play. They did a grand job losing all year

I think younger guys who haven't played as much usually just have fresher legs at this point of the season. Knicks don't really have a young guy behind Melo.

I would like to take a longer look at Chasson Randle though.

Hopefully they lose a bunch of games in the next few weeks and start making this transition.

Noah is the Knick's version of Tyson and he is already out. The Knicks could waive Rose. Are they thinking about resigning him? Melo could have his minutes limited. I do think this type of move would be harder to do in msg.

I think they will resign rose unless there is a better option avail. people keep saying we need to play the young guys, holiday, baker, willy, kuz (our young guys)have been playing all season along

I have a feeling Rose will want to go to Minnesota. Maybe Knicks and Wolves can do a sign and trade for Rubio/Rose in the off-season. I like Rose and I'd like to right by him, but it just doesn't seem like he's a good fit here.

I love this ongoing exercise in BRIGGS Introduction to Internet Semantics 101...

Tanking is not losing on purpose, it's just not trying to win as much as you normally would if you were actually not... trying to lose... which is not to say you're not really trying to not not win on purpose... you're just only tying one shoe while running half speed to conserve energy for playing ping pong later... See?


Will you be providing a new explanation in class about how "resting stars" is not really "resting stars"? I'm really looking forward to feeling better informed about the business and logic behind million dollar players not bothering to show up for games...

In my opinion, Phill let Jeff do his thing as he did with Fish. If you can win now, have at it. If not, run the damn triangle!!!!
The sooner we do it, the sooner players can get thru the learning curve.
I think in respect to Melo and Rose he was hoping the talent would still succeed and at some point Rose would give himself to it.
At some point PHil must insist it be done. I think Jeff took the job with this knowledge. Im just guessing, nothing more.
