Roes is terrible. The guy has one assist so far and people want to bring him back. Yes he can get to the rim but he slows up the offense when he is not in attack mode and has no idea how to get his team involve. On top of that he is one of the worst defensive guards in the league.

As a 6th man, sure, as a starting PG, no way.

yup as a starter not doubt about it!!

In pretty much every advanced stat out there, it shows we are a better team with him off the floor. I know he is flashy and can score points in a hurry and take over a game for stretches, but his defense and attitude tell us he's just not a winning player. In order to have him as your starting PG, you need a SG playing alongside him who is an elite defender at either guard position, shooter, and can essentially run the offense. If you had 2012 Jason Kidd on the team, it could work, otherwise i don't see it.

Thats interesting because when he played for the bulls he was a winning player..#1 defensive team not many shooters....all of a sudden he comes here n he is not a winning player?? hahaha

i agree. basically he only does one thing but his flaws heavily outweigh that one strong point.

I think Van Gundy said he would bring him back because what is the alternative?

I like some of what Rose does - but unless it's 1 year and maybe $20m, just say no.

He was before the injuries. And the game has changed since then. You need shooting, you need playmaking. Like i said, Rose can work, but you need a very unique team around him that compliments his strengths and balances out his flaws. Just go look at all the advanced stats, stats don't lie. He's talented and can score, so if you want that, he's good. But if you want to win, he doesn't help as a starting PG. Maybe as a 6th man, in a Crawford or Lou Williams role, he can be pretty good.

If the Knicks play like how they have played in this game throughout the season, there is no way we are not a play off team.

We already know that they haven't played this way throughout the season though. This is game 63.

edit: actually, I would argue that they have played this way much of the season. They have about 15 hard fought, painful close losses. This figures to be another one.
