I keep looking at this article and these stats (as of Jan 2017) when guaging KP, and obviously these are cherry-picked some but they are still spectacular. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/knicks-future-not-as-bleak-as-it-appears/ Knicks fans want instant results and crave so badly for a savior we put unrealistic expectations on KP. Look at DeRozan, a beast these days; he is now just 27 (28 in Aug) and it was only about 2-3 seasons ago where he really started to shine (at 25?). Dude is shooting 28% 3pts this year and topped out last year at 34%, which is just about what KP did from 3pt land in his rookie season. Or Steph Curry, didn't find his mojo until about his 4th year and there were rumors GS didn't want to sign him long term cause of his ankle injuries. James Harden? Needed to get out of the shadow of Westbrook and Durant. The list goes on. EVERYONE knew that KP needed at least 3 seasons to figure out his body (which is why I find it utterly confounding when folks say he needs to be an instant post up player). He is not LeBron, Magic, Jordan, Shaq, Durant, whomever and will need time. He is ahead of Dirk at a similar age. All he needs to do is keep progressing; as soon as he has an offseason where nothing has really changed, then we need to start worrying. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program
