The only way to prevent this is to artificially shut down Melo, which I don't see them doing. This draft has a LOT of talent that is about on the same level. No Lebron or KD type at the top. Some really good players will be available in this draft just about everywhere. It's just gonna make it harder on the scouts to hit a home run on that 1st pick if we fall further back.

Right now the mocks keep moving around but Tankathon has Miles Bridges and De'aaron Fox still on the board at 10. Let's hope the Knicks luck out.

Deep down in your heart you know the Knicks are gonna start winning games now. It's inevitable IMO.
Once Phil didn't move Rose you could kind of see this happening. LT getting healthy and Baker getting minutes are all coming together with a weak schedule!!!

The problem is the Knicks are playing better! It's not a fluke that they won. This team always had the ability to win games if they simply defended better and lately the D has improved. LT being healthy makes a MASSIVE difference and now that Baker is taking BJ's minutes that's even more defense!

The schedule is not tough enough to prevent this team from winning enough games to get back into the playoffs. Nothing is guaranteed but they have a legit shot to get back in. THIS IS VERY REAL.

Right, and how would you even be able to evaluate anyone on the roster if they start jacking up wild shots, turning the ball over, missing FT's playing bad defense for.

If kp and willy play really bad on purpose for the sake of a draft picks, or Lee shoots 10% from DT, or Holiday plays lazy defense. wouldn't you then come to the conclusion that all these players suck and the entire roster should be revamp.

Or would you be interested in the players finally coming together down the stretch, rose and melo passing more, better team defense, and phil doing hhis homework and drafting a solid player anywhere in the draft , like picking up a willy type late in the draft..

It was never about the players tanking. That doesn't happen. The front Office makes moves that create a weakened team so that the team loses. Phil didn't do that so the team is organically either going to WIN or LOSE legitimately. My guess is they will win more games because they always had the talent to win more.

The issue was the DEFENSE. What we see now is the Defense is tightening up and the defensive effort and chemistry is coming together. The other Lotto teams aren't doing that and those teams don't have a Melo or Rose who can raise their level of play. We've all seen Melo get hot for a month!
