Interesting comment. He went on to say that there “wasn’t really anything kind of worth looking at, talking about or exploring” when it comes to trades that may have involved him.

So with that now in the rear view, Melo is right, the Knicks have to come up with another plan that involves him on the team. But the franchise knows that plan also has to involve developing Kristaps Porzingis and adding more young talent to the team to be ready to emerge when Melo’s time in New York ends.

because thinking like Briggs that he will take on a different role or be some productive 6th man is pure silliness. So long as he's here he's taking his 25 shots a night as he did last night. If you want to develop a frontcourt rotation of KP/Willy/KOQ with Noah mixed in there as well it means more of Melo at the SF or he takes those guys minutes at the 4. For me I would rather just move one. I dont see a ton of scenarios where winning games with Melo really helps our future.

Yeah, i would trade Melo if I could win the PowerBall too. But the market decides what Melo is worth not his own inflated self importance which you seem to share with him. Currently his market value is Austin Rivers in a market he created for himself.

Sure he has the final say but he was asked about it every day in every city. That had to weigh on him.

I hate my job but I have to put in the hours to support my family.... that's really weight on your shoulders. If I don't go to work and deal with all that bull**** I go through my family is screwed. Tell me how a 25 mill a year star whether he comes to work or nother that plays a game for a living has weight on his shoulders? Seriously man I don't want to hear it

You aren't in the same spot. Nobody shoves their cameras and microphones in your face and asks you to defend your company's performance and ask you why things aren't better while every other person who works for your company gets to do their job away from the spotlight. You may not want to hear that there is a stress that comes with being the face of the franchise but that doesn't mean it does not exist.
