What are you talking about, dude?
I'm a Melo fan.
I'm a Knicks fan who is accustomed to 35 win teams with a star player who looks real good in the highlights. I've loved the Melo era which has been amazing. So much success!!! After all Melo is now one of the top scorers in league history!!!
I wanna see Melo score more!
Yay!
Lottery here we come. But not the type of place in the lottery you want to be, where you can grab a franchis altering talent.
Who cares about Kristaps development?
Who cares if KP needs to match up against elite starters so he can learn what he needs to do defensively?
Who cares that the Knicks need to establish habits of how they want to play that is similar or cohesive to a longterm plan to win?
(All Saracism by the way if it wasn't obvious)
What's funny is fans like Spike Lee believe things just like these. They get mesmerzied by the scoring ablity of Melo. They don't see that in league history never has a player who played like Melo (high scoring, high ussage rate, perimeter player, low assist rate, iso heavy) ever led his team to a title. I mean look back 20, 30 years. Guys who play Melo's style of game have never won in this league as the top guy. If we build a starting 5 that makes Melo the dominant #1 option it is the worst idea ever. I've read many bad ideas, but that is by far the worst. Take away Rose and KP, and allow Melo to run the show. Just brilliant.
