Whats up guys, long time knick fan glad to be here to discuss sports with you all. I just wanted to float out a trade idea that i had the other day.

Here's the trade machine link: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zftfxvb
(Boston would also be giving up a their own 2018 pick to the Sixers (NOT the Nets pick)

Clippers know that they wont have any chance at the West the year without getting an impact player and they also get Lee who would serve as a great role player around Melo, CP3, Blake and Jordan.

Celtics: Still doesn't solve their rebounding problems, but they basically rent reddick for a playoff push and get decent players off the bench in Bass and Pierce.

Sixers: They were already hot for Crawford this offseason and in addition to Rivers, the two really give philly a major backcourt upgrade for a playoff push. Looking toward the future, Crawford and Rivers could serve as good bridges/transition players for when they end up drafting backcourt players in the lottery this year. Also keep stocking up on draft picks.

Knicks: Unloading Lee with Melo is a bit of a disappointment because of the value of Lee's contract, but I feel like they wouldnt turn down a chance to acquire a young talent like Noel who would also fit next to Porzingis. Also, even though Henderson isn't playing too well this season, his contract is still only two years and its decent value. Short term wise, Amir Johnson is at least another big body and good rebounder.

Welcome!

I was thinking if the Knicks did the Clippers trade, trying to flip Jamal Crawford to the Sixers for Nerlens Noel or Okafor might work.

I would love Noel on the team, but the Sixers seem to want him now. I might take Okafor and see if he works next to KP. If not, Okafor could probably be moved somewhere for a pick... maybe...

If I did that version of the trade though, I'd probably keep Austin Rivers rather than Amir Johnson though.

I don't see the Celtics getting involved, but I think there's a way to make Knicks-Clippers-Sixers work.

Where's rhe mandatory pick we'd need to recieve in a Melo deal?
