Sorry, I don't think Marbury is a great on the ball defender at all. Has he ever made or even been mentioned for All NBA defensive team? He has the skills to defend but oddly never seems to shut anyone down. Please tell me a time when he shut a topnotch PG down at a crucial time.
I like a lot of things about Marbury but defense isn't one of them.

IT WAS AWESOME.

With 3.8 secs left, down by 1, after serbia hit 1 of 2 FTS, argentina raced the ball down to the other end, passed off to ginobli, and he hit the game winner.... banked it in, falling away, with a defender in his face, with .2 secs left on the clock!!

china vs spain however, was awful, china got spanked... yao isn't assertive enough. Gasol played circles around him.
