"Now that the Timberwolves have officially signed point guard Troy Hudson, don't be surprised if they trade Wally Szczerbiak and the $55 million he has remaining on his contract for the next five years to the New York Knicks for 6-foot-9, 230-pound Kurt Thomas, who is 33.

With Hudson back and healthy, Szczerbiak, 27, is making too much money to justify the relatively limited playing time he would be expected to get alongside Trenton Hassell, Sam Cassell, Fred Hoiberg and Latrell Sprewell. Szczerbiak was raised in New York."

I doubt that this is true at all (especially since they said Kurt is 33 when he really is 31). But maybe we could get Wally and trade him to GS for Damp?

Thats the only part in there about the Knicks and T'Wolves. The rest of the article is about the Twins and other sports.

If over his foot problems, why not. Gotta have one white kid on the team. LOL

Problem is without KT, we get real small!

Wally doesnt do anything at for me, and I dont think he fits on this team. He's a nice shooter but I think we are set at the wings for the next year or two. I want to see how Crawford, Marbury, Houston, TT, Penny play for a year... I like that group a lot. If Wally could be a part of a GS deal for Damp than alls the better.

What on earth do we need Wally for? To back up TT at the 3? He doesnt play as well coming off the bench, and we have Penny.

The only reason we might get him is because he has an aweful contract, so he would fit right in!

I think the writer of this article needs to go back to rehab.

I love the way writers just throw out completely off-the-wall trades without offering explaination why both teams would do it.

Yes! Lets trade for a oft-injured shooting guard, we don't have any of those. Plus, with Craw now on board, he fits right in!

Yea I completely agree, when I first saw this article I started laughing. The only way we would ever do a deal like this is to get Dampier, but I doubt they would want Wally's contract.

Why would GS want Wally? They have a glut of wing players too....

Leave that alone....it's funny how people get paid to say stupid things like that.

If McHale wants to rid himself of a HUGE contract, then may I suggest a trade for Penny. He would have to add another salary to even out (Ervin Johnson)

Sure, bring Wally to NY. What's another shoot first and play no defense player.

If IT reacts quickly, he can even offer part of the MLE to denis scott, instead of seeing him going to the heat...

They would love to have a player as talented as Wally. Golden State isn't too crazy about any of the wing players they have except for Pietrius. They won't take Wally because of his large contract, but they would love to add a player with that amount of talent.

THEN...We can trade KT and TT to Portland for Ratliff and Derek Anderson.

C-Ratliff
PF-Sweetney
SF-Wally
SG-Houston
PG-Marbury

Bench-Crawford, JYD, Nazr, Sweetney, Ervin Johnson, Ariza, Derek Anderson, Moochie, Shandon.

I like it!

Rest assured, it is not going to happen. Wally for Kurt is a very Laydenesque trade idea.

I'll trade for Wally if we get back one of their centers (preferably Kandi-man who can be as good, if not better than Dampier)and they take Shandon Anderson off our hands.

Portland is in love w/ Ratliff and he was the reason they made that trade.
