Thank you Phil for at least keeping our draft picks and giving us a player to build around

Because this is depressing. We are a sad team, but somehow at least we have a future for a change. All but maybe 10 teams would still trade their best player for KP in a heartbeat. I was hoping rose could help but he clearly has no interest getting porzingis involved in the offense so time to move on and find players that compliment him.

Maybe if he weren't so focused on acquiring triangle-type players and a triangle-type coach we would be in a better place.

And where were we at before phil got here? Bad team with no young superstar and no draft picks. I don't see any harm in taking short term chances as long as we are still building for the future. Phil failed with all of the short term stuff. As for the long term stuff, he hit it out of the park. No one can debate that. Ultimately he's been the only front office leader to be successful with a lottery pick.

I worry about the draft picks. Dolan has been quiet for a while. He's looking at 4years of a row of Melo and no playoffs.

Could be ready to make a bad deal at the deadline, or the draft!

Fingers crossed.

But, yes, thank you to Phil for keeping the picks. I hope we get to use them.

When he nixed the Lowry deal years ago, seems like he committed to not trading them. I would say all indications are he and Phil are on the same page there. Especially with drafting porzingis, Dolan sees first hand the value of the draft pick.

Woodson was taking us to the playoffs is where we were..JR came of surgery and speculation in December that Woodson was done where he lost control of the team after the 54 win season when Phil was offered the job..We had Amare and Chandler rolling off a year later for a quick retool..Don't hand me the crap that we are in better days now...

Everyone knew the window was small with that group. Melo was in his prime with a perfect supporting cast. Things are far from perfect now, but we have a start and a player to build around. It's a repeat of the early Ewing years. I'll take that.

My favorite all time too. But knicks were bad for Ewing's first few years. He was 26 when they finally had a winning season. KP has a chance to be the greatest knick ever. It takes time to become a good defensive player. But like every other star we have ever had, you guys won't appreciate him and will treat him like crap his entire knick career, just like Ewing and melo. Knicks fans are the most interesting creatures on the planet I swear.

Treat him like crap???..How about waiting until he earns all the praise his fandom heaps on him as a franchise player..The fact that some don't see what you see doesn't mean we or I hate him..The second unit don't pass the ball to him..They don't see it either..Probably Melo and Jennings are the only guys who make a concerted effort to get him the ball..And you want Melo out of town..

You won't win if the so call franchise player doesn't play defense...KP doesn't play defense..Many times he was completely lost on the court last night..Completely..And winning is an art..Not everyone know how to win..Ask KLove if he knew how to win without LeBron..

A couple things you are incorrect about. I don't want melo out of town. Look at my posting history. And Porzingis has one of the lowest opponent fg% at the rim in the league. It means he's playing solid defense in an area he is supposed to be. Most 7'3 guys won't be great perimeter defenders, that's for sure.

People are souring on Porzingis because of the team's performance, and that's a shame.

Porzingis is an amazing prospect (yeah, its just his second year, coming from far away and he still is performing solid) that could change the league if developed properly.

Thing is, the Knicks are a dysfunctional mess that, if not dealt with soon, could have huge consequences for Porzingis. His defense has taken a hit, his confidence is low and you can see how down he is on the team right now.

Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose, respected veterans supposed to be solid mentors for Porzingis, have both performed so poorly, unprofessional and childish that both really need to be gone if we are meant to save Porzingis, the youngsters and possibly build on this foundation and our picks this year.

Porzingis is not the problem, but if you leave a fresh new apple with two rotten ones, what do you think will happen?
