17-13 if you consider the loss to Phx where Rose went out very early. And it goes without saying, winless when we are missing one of them. So we are at least a 45 win team if these guys play 82 games together. That doesn't factor in continual improvements in chemistry. Obviously 82 games played together isn't realistic, but it tells me the problem is not any of these guys, it's everyone else. These guys are the stars, so they will need to improve things of course, but together, they are winning games. When one of them is missing, we have yet to have 1 player really step up on a consistent basis to fill some of that missing gap.
If we resign Rose, we won't have any cap space left, but we can find ways to improve. Holiday is probably a keeper, and can be resigned to a league average contract using his early-bird rights. Kuz, Willy, O'Quinn, and Baker are nice long-term pieces too. For our first round pick, if none of the elite prospects fall to the mid-1st round, i'll go with an NBA ready college player over a higher-potential prospect. Josh Hart, Dwayne Bacon, and Luke Kennard are 3 SGs who can all shoot, assume secondary playmaking responsibilities, and should be productive NBA players right away. If we choose to stick with Baker and a committee approach to backup PG, and let Jennings go, we will have the MLE to use on another quality rotation player. PJ Tucker is an obvious option, with the recent interest in him. Our defense would be much improved. If we come back with a better bench and a couple of guys who can step up when needed, we will be just fine.
