Not only is it bad for the paying fans, what about the advertisers, the networks. How the hell is Lue going to rest Love, Irving, and LBJ for a road game against a quality opponent on prime time.

It's not just older players, it's young too. These guys get paid millions to work 5 months of the yr. I don't why you can't limit a players minutes for a few games, it's just so many better alternatives.

The league already cut back severely on Back to back games this yr. If you want to give a player rest, give him Noah type mins, 10 mins in the 1st half, 10 in the 2nd half. If you do that for 2 or 3 games, your keeping them fresh

With that being said...I don't understand why Lue rested three of his best players for the SAME GAME. That didn't make sense....and if I was a Memphis player, I would be extremely disrespected.

IM ok with Lebron taking a day off, and if the team said "he'll be not traveling to attend to a personel matter" I would be ok with that. At some point Love is rested for some back thing, no big deal and just rest!

LBJ is a well-appointed stooge. One of the ESPN radio tools replayed LeQ's comments on why he was sitting out Memphis. Sounded like a petulant moron. "I've paid my dues, I've been in the league 13 years....blah blah blah"
You're getting paid an insane amount of money to play a basketball game, you're not mining coal!

That said, the NBA should stop this back to back BS. This isn't baseball, where you could be getting paid to stand still in right field for an hour and a half and stand at the plate and go 0-4. 82 games is a long, drawn out death march at times, without dealing with playing 5 games in 8 nights.

And Pop is just a well-appointed scum bag. Glad he got extra seasons and rings out of Duncan, but eff him anyway for starting all this resting sheehit. Adam Silver is a douche for not fining Pop's arrogant azz the first chance he got for this.

Resting in DECEMBER!!! The last time I checked, the season ended in APRIL!!!

Yeah, and Melo's a DOUCHE for resting against the best team in the NBA and leaving KP's skinny little azz out to dry.

The game is different than back in the day when they played back to backs and traveled by bus, and had real jobs during the off-season, but it's still a game. It's all back of the rotation guys. I know it gets rid of 4 games in 5 days, but they should've reduced the amount of regular season games if teams are gonna keep resting dudes
