After receiving the ball, he is always trying to face the guard up, instead of backing him down. He is able to hit a shot with a small right under him, but I would think, a back down with a fade away would be more effective and force a double team all the time.

3.) Get better with passing out of the double team. He is already not bad with that, but especially when he is on, like vs the Suns, he is still trying to do to much and loses the ball in the process.

All that said, he is way ahead of anything we could have ever hoped for him. And he is progressing on the run in a way I have rarely seen by any player in any sports. There was no real hole he was in this first 1 1/4 of his NBA career. Whenever it looked like he hit a wall, he quickly adjusted. Good things will come for the Knicks!

Some good points. Think, right now, he just goes with what he is comfortable with. Have said it many times that he seems to have grown up watching and admiring guards and 3's play. Although he also admired Dirk. He sometimes looks like a kid that that had a huge growth spirt without knowing it. However, you are right, he is way ahead of the curve. Think that if he implemnents a down low game and learns to play by using his height advantage, he will be an All Star for many years. We all have to remember how young he is and how even gifted talent needs time to implement adjustments. It takes a lot of time and experience to develop these adjustments at the NBA level. Think he will and he has shown that he is ready for the challenge. Many of the things that he does on defense will improve quickly with good coaching. Biggest thing, for me, on defense is that he does not need to jump to block shots all the time. And he needs to stay vertical and extend hands straight up. He gets called on silly fouls when he drops his hands over the offensive player. He is tall enough to block the shot at a higher point after the release. Looking forward to watching him improve in the coming years.
