The people have spoken. And they want Hillary Clinton to be President. The rigged system gave us Trump.

See that's what my post was about. The PEOPLE are STUPID!!! I saw this same thing happen with Bush. Down here in Georgia you wouldn't believe the amount of Bush lawn signs and Bumper stickers. These people made a HUGE mistake and people paid for that and now they've done the SAME DAMNED THING with Trump. STOP PUTTING PEOPLE IN CHARGE that don't really respect Government. Stop voting in Republicans to Congress who HATE GOVERNMENT and thus do everything they can to weaken it and make it fail. How many times should we let Republicans ruin our Economy and run up the Debt?

What has Trump done in his entire life that should make me have faith he can do the job? What has he done so far that gives anyone confidence in his ability to do the job? Does this mean Trump will definitely fail? Of course not. Trump could eventually be successful. For one thing he's coming into a EXPONENTIALLY better situation than Obama did when he took office!!! Bush came in with a Surplus from Clinton and left us in RUINS. Now Obama like Clinton is leaving a much better situation for Trump. Only incompetence could mess things up from here. So the bar is LOW for Trump once again.

How hard should it be for Trump to find some success with an Economy that is stable and complete control of the House and Senate??? If he's a great President then we should reach heights never seen before in all aspects, since he's got the wind at his back!!! His initial decisions are not inspiring but very concerning.

CEO of united technologies...

The result of keeping the plant in Indiana open is a $16 million investment to drive down the cost of production, so as to reduce the cost gap with operating in Mexico.

What does that mean? Automation. What does that mean? Fewer jobs, Hayes acknowledged.

From the transcript (emphasis added):

GREG HAYES: Right. Well, and again, if you think about what we talked about last week, we're going to make a $16 million investment in that factory in Indianapolis to automate to drive the cost down so that we can continue to be competitive. Now is it as cheap as moving to Mexico with lower cost of labor? No. But we will make that plant competitive just because we'll make the capital investments there.

JIM CRAMER: Right.

GREG HAYES: But what that ultimately means is there will be fewer jobs.

mission accomplished!

Trump spokesman Jason Miller did not answer directly how Trump knew the price of the new Air Force One, but according to the latest figures, Trump is likely correct about the eventual $4 billion price tag. Research and development is already at $2.7 billion for the first two years, a number that is already budgeted and approved, and the Government Accountability Office warned last year that the cost would be approximately $3.2 billion. By the time the aircraft is delivered, the total cost will likely be over $4 billion, because the government still has to buy the two aircraft once they are built.

What do you all think the implications will be regarding todays Wikileaks of app. 58,000 emails from Erdogan's son in law now. They show that Turkey processed ISIS oil. I spoke about this with some people today and they mentioned it was long suspected but now we have proof. Longer article and I tried to grab a small relevant part but linked at the bottom. If you click on the link below and then go to the paragraph I quoted, you can hyperlink to the email. And there are more emails listed. Will take some time to go through the thousands of emails. With the (inside) coup in Turkey a few months back, I wonder what the implication of this might be...

It also shows infiltration into social media, much like "Correct the Record".

In one email, Albayrak discusses with his lawyer publicly denying any connection with Powertrans. The lawyer proposes a statement saying “my client no longer has ties with Powertrans…”. Albayrak “corrects” him, saying “what do you mean no longer? I never had ties with this company!” . However, throughout the archive it is clear that Albayrak started being involved in Powertrans in 2012, coinciding with the government's decision to give Powertrans the rights of oil transportation. The archive contains almost 30 emails exchanged between Albayrak and Betul Yilmaz, the human resources manager of Çalık Holding, a conglomerate of which Albayrak was Chief Executive Officer. Yilmaz seeks approval from Albayrak regarding Powertrans personnel decisions, such as who to hire , and approval of Powertrans salaries .

The archive also shows attempts to control the Turkish press and social media in favour of the ruling AKP party.

In 2013, when large demonstrations against Erdoğan began, some AKP officials were concerned about the growing role of social media in the protests. A number of emails show that since the 2013 Gezi Park protests the AKP has invested in controlling social media, including hiring people to work on Twitter to influence messaging on the platform, despite blocking normal internet access to it for those within Turkey. In 2013 the Wall Street Journal also claimed that the government had formed a 6,000-strong social media team

The emails show that the AKP set up two teams to insert their own propaganda into social media platforms. The proposal for one team consists of coders, graphic designers, script writers and two experts on psychological warfare . A larger team consists of Twitter bot accounts that receive and spread pro-Erdoğan messages on social media . On 28 June 2013 the team initiated one of its first planned hashtag campaigns, “#DirenÇözüm”, using the protestors' keyword “diren” (“resist”), while also suggesting that government wants a peaceful solution. In this email the team sends the hashtag and six possible messages for the AKP trolls to use .

Damn, this is great news, actually unbelievable and he is just President-Elect.

Trump Announces Sprint Agreement to Invest $50 Billion in US and Create 50,000 Jobs

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday that the Tokyo-based parent company of Sprint Corp. has agreed to invest $50 billion and create 50,000 jobs in the United States.

Trump made the remarks standing beside Masayoshi Son, who is chairman of Sprint and CEO of SoftBank Group Corp. that owns more than 80 percent of Sprint. The Overland Park-based wireless carrier was not mentioned in a brief video of Trump’s comments that ABC posted on Twitter.

Come on, that is good news. The forum has been so divided. I post good news about a President Elect creating 50,000 jobs (has that ever happened before?) and that is your reply?

Re your question - I would need to know the quality of the jobs. Are they mostly PT low paying jobs, or high paying tech jobs? Do you have any statistics on if this is FT work and better paid?
The number is nice, but companies have been cutting jobs and buying back stock (and we need something to deter them there, as the cheap loans are partly to blame.)

Trump is not even president yet and he is getting tech companies to create jobs here. Really great news for Americans. (Though I fear an interest rate rise and am unsure about how that will affect the economy.)

Clearly Trumps policies are being felt.

Do you even KNOW why companies add employees? It's not about talking to Trump! It's all about demand requiring more employees. If there is no demand for products or services there's no increase in employment. In addition, WHERE you source employees has to be cost beneficial. To give Trump credit without getting the details of why the Company is investing is premature.

No doubt this Company made plans for investment here long ago based on market more than talking with Trump!!! I bet their plans would've been the same had Hillary or Gary Johnson were elected. Trump is probably just taking credit as he loves to do.

any new job is a good job.
i also understand that jobs created or brought back will most likely be minimum wage jobs b/c the higher ends jobs are not coming back.

we'll see the final details - i hope these 50K new jobs are spread throughout america and not all concentrated in the bigger cities.
