Derrick Rose is headed to Carmelo Anthony’s place in Manhattan for Thanksgiving Day, and he didn’t wait for a formal invitation from Anthony’s wife, La La.

Rose said he believes it’s his first time away from Chicago for Thanksgiving after spending his first eight NBA seasons with his hometown Bulls....

Anthony confirmed Rose invited himself over, and he’s very happy he did.

“If he wants to come, my door is always open,’’ Anthony said. “He’s considered family now. My door is open to him — whoever wants to bring. It’s Thanksgiving for family to come over and have a good time and enjoy the day. But he better bring a pie and not come empty-handed.”
