For me if both of these guys can prove their health this season then i don't see any better option but to have both of them back and hope B.Jennings will be alright with being in the 6th man/backup PG for the next 4/5 years. Signing D.Rose to a max 4/5 year contract will be a scary thing to do but he's got his legs back and soon he's gonna start finding his shot again and when he does that he's gonna be so much more dangerous then he is now cause players will play up on him and it will be that much easier for him to go around them.

I do think B.Jennings can run this team though and wouldn't hate it if he was our starting PG especially with the money saved on Rose which can be spent elsewhere but i'd so much rather him backing up D.Rose or even C.Paul.

Kudo's to phil for all the crying fans did last year to upgrade from Jose, a little patience gave us two Pg's much better than Jose, and it only cost us Ropez (basically).

Im going to just enjoy this tandem until July 1st and perhaps it all gets sorted out by then.

I think it is too early to decide. I love Jennings coming off the bench. He brings so much energy and is a nice fit in that role. He struggled a bit with the starters when Rose picked up that early foul in the third quarter. They are a bit more plodding.

I think Jennings' future, if he has one with the Knicks, is coming off the bench. His hustle and playmaking seem to compensate for his inconsistent jumper and questionable shots... at least to this point in the early season.

I have never been a big fan of the Jennings, but I can be won over by a guy who hustles and plays with intensity, so I've been pretty happy with his play for the most part.

Given the market...if he was to play like this, with a little better shooting, for the entire season, I would give him a 4yr/$40M type contract.

I think what we are seeing with Jennings is he can stink shooting the ball (2-6, 0-4 from downtown last night) but still be a high impact player. Rose however needs to score, something he is very good at.

There is a money crunch also... based on last year's market Jennings is playing himself into a big payday. When guys like Turner and Crabbe are getting $15-$18mm what is Jennings worth? I think his current contract means we cant keep both.

The nice thing about having them under contract is that we can go over the cap to keep them.

I'd be in favor of keeping both on reasonable contracts - but it's very early. Let's see how they hold up over a full season. Time will tell.

This season to me is about enjoying what we have. It might be Melo's last really good season. It reminds me of the 2012-3 season where it was pretty obvious it was a one season run. Maybe it can be two. Maybe DRose learns how to be a great point guard without needing to dunk. His quickness is still there, as is his bball skill.

I'm just in the wait and see camp. I could see a scenario where we make the ECF and I could see a scenario where we get bounced in the first round. Just enjoy the ride.
