This was mental fatigue and grit. Not tired legs.

Melo needs to take the next step and focus more on winning.

What do you think he was focused on if not winning?

The great ones find a way to win

Melo needs to grow in that regard. He's immensely talented in so many ways

I think he has a little too much focus on his own shots rather than reading the game and seeing what's working

he is what he is especially at this stage. Ive said many times that the Knicks would be much better if he started to transition into the the supporting role like Rose has done. Rose is still very important but he doesn't have to be the main guy like he was in Chicago.

Between KP Melo Willy Noah and KOQ I would've thought we would've killed them on the boards this game

Instead 6'5" Lamb (who I like btw) killed us

Ok. Let it sting for a bit. Learn from it and come back focused on Monday. We need full 48 min of steady effort

Why does it always go staright to Melo when we lose?? Rose put up a air ball 3 pointer with a minute and a half left which was just dumb.

I hate the tired legs thing cause the Hornets also played a OT game last night.

True. But the Hornets are a far younger team. Melo was 7-25 tonight, Rose was 6-20. They should've given up the ball more, but they looked tired. Hornets were fatigued too or this would've been a blow out loss.

A road winning percentage of 14 ain't gonna get it done and that's likely to go down even further on Monday night.

I think he has a ton to offer. They just need to take the decision making out of his hands.

Even last night at the end of regulation He had his head down and tunnel vision. KP was open under the hoop w walker on him Totally missed that and then the shot

As our offense balances out I think our wins will go up as will Melos efficiency

What we learned is we can't depend on Melo on the 2nd night of a back to back if he plays big minutes night one. He can't do that anymore. Hornacek has to adjust the game plan and minutes on night two!!!

With Batuum and Williams out it had to be tempting to feature Melo but he struggled from start to finish tonight.

Despte getting 25 pts I felt KP was underused again. Hornacek has started to go away from him the past 2 games and that needs to stop

Knicks could EASILY play that way! GO SMALL! Rose, KP, Melo, Lee and Holiday! Play 4 Out, PnR, Drive n Kick!!!

isn't that triangle

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

agree 100%, though he did take a few shots early in the shotclock which is not his game. he has to improve his shooting in practice first.

Was Melo just trying to stuff the stat sheet bombing up? If your tired after a big performance the night before allowing someone else to bear the scoring load ain't a bad move, just don't then chuck tough shots up.

I honestly think he tries to show off for Jordan in games against Charlotte. He's part of the Jordan team at Nike and Jordan is... Jordan. Melo had his 62pt game against them. 35pts 15rebs last night, etc.

Well he had just hit one so i wasnt against it. Rose in the past could be real streaky for 3, ive seen him hit 3 in a row several times in important times of bulls games. Unfortunately his 3 ball just isnt their at the moment. But he had a great 2nd half and played solid D all game. Our bigs ket us down defending tge PnR tonight. Continually letting kemba get under them

You really think Melo is that shallow? Come on dudes! I'm fine criticizing his performance last night but this Jordan angle is very far fetched.

Umm, because he shot 7 for 25 with 2 turnovers and was a minus 16?

My mistake. I thought it was a road game.
