IMO all this talk about Rose is extremely premature. Rose has been laying back. He knows that it's a long season and he has to be reasonable in his approach to the year. We haven't seen the best of him yet and he's not really forcing things. There will come a time when Rose is much more comfortable and he starts to turn it up a bit. This early in the year with this much talent around him it's not necessary to do that every game. Gradually figuring things out with his new teammates is a good approach.

Who do you think we sign in place of him, if you don't see him returning? Remember, maintaining cap space isn't a guarantee. The Knicks have long-term contracts that increase each season and the cap will inevitably level off, so cap space for our team will probably be at it's highest point this summer, compared to the following summers. Top players will continue to command the same type of contracts they got last summer. So my point is, if you don't resign Rose, you better have a replacement in mind (or replacement for Jennings, who could possibly become the starter.) Rose isn't an ideal fit, but letting him go just to avoid paying top dollar, and not being able to afford a good replacement in future years, doesn't seem like an ideal scenario.

Maybe saying Rose is adjusting his approach to how he plays is a better description.

Yes that is a better description of what I mean. Rose isn't forcing things and contrary to those who doubted him he's not playing like a guy only concerned about his next contract!!!

I totally disagree with Ned regarding the direction of the team. THIS IS A TEAM BUILT AROUND KP!!! Instead of a bunch of kids KP has vets who can help him win NOW! Why not let KP play in meaningful games and possibly playoffs? That will do more for KP than a bunch of kids that don't know what they're doing.
