Willy needs to get that midrange shot going really well to ensure he can come in as a closer over Noah. You're right when you say his inability to shoot the rock means the other C can just peel away and D up someone else down the stretch.

True. But also one of the first times we've seen that. It was clear Noah wasn't ready for it - he should've been diving to the rim. Easy enough to fix.

You can't win like this. How much is this home cooking from the refs, I'm not sure, but it's impossible to win with this discrepancy.

I thought these numbers would change with two attack guards like rose and Jennings but so far that hasn't really been the case. Will be an interesting stat to monitor going forward especially home vs. away.

Haha just posted the same thing.

Tonight I didn't think the game was poorly called, except maybe the stretch where Lee picked up 3 fouls in 90 seconds in the third quarter. Though most of those even seemed to be legit.

Toronto played well tonight.

Last night in Boston was one of the worst reffed games I've seen in 25 years of watching the NBA.

not really. When they doubled kp he found the open guys. Near the end we went back to iso and predictibly paid for it

I wish the Knicks would get some calls when they are the home team.

Good to see they were competitive early in the season against the Raptors..Knicks will look differently in January when they figure a few things out..Rose doesn't have his legs yet, he isn't finishing..

Not constructive. It's a legitimate point. Raptors had like 2.5 X the free throws and we were aggressive tonight. Pales in comparison to yesterday. But still seems like a fair point

Having said that we need to stay focused and especially the players. Too much complaining by them. They lose their focus and the refs just get more pissed

I saw some good things tonight even tho they still have a long way to go. They still have breakdowns on both ends that are killing them. It's mostly very fixable mistakes and poor execution.

my main concern is the defense. They have a lot of poor defenders so its tough to cover that up

The longer they play together and Hornacek gets to see what works and what doesn't, the better they're going to get. The bench is getting more in the swing of things with every game. Willy and Kuz are getting much needed experience.

agreed. Complaining doesnt help and only pisses the refs off more

Yeah, with Melo and now Jennings... the Knicks are one of those annoying teams that complains about every call. Like the Clippers, but without the wins.

This is true. Knicks need to tighten things up. Stop playing D w their hands

And the refs will meet the half way. I thought tonight refs had some home cooking.

Last night was out of control horrible refs (and Knicks did themselves no favors)

They can fix this. And sometime this year we might feel like the beneficiary of home cooking

There is real potential for this team.

Dudes complaining about ISO..Quick lesson, Melo had a matchup advantage which the Knicks successfully went to..It's the same match up that KP had late in the 4th becuase they put Patterson on Melo..So KP had Powell on him, so the Knicks went to KP because of the matchup..Basketball 101..

True but they can still improve as a team and develop better defensive chemistry as the season Progresses. They still have a lot to learn but I can see progress already. It doesn't look like they have the roster to be a very good defensive team, so they've got to get a LOT better offensively.

The bad stretches of offense are not allowing them to take advantage of the times they've actually defended well!!! They had chances to extend a lead but didn't score.
