I'm here with you on N'Dour. I really like him. He's struggling to find his nitch out there only getting sporadic PT but I agree--I think the potential's there for a better player than Lance Thomas eventually. Saw automatic PT with Lance out last night and I thought he had some good moments--committed some fouls but he was active defensively, prevented a layup with a hard foul, had a nice pass inside to Kyle O'Quinn. He didn't do anything to kill us out there, that's for sure. I'd hardly call this guy terrible. That's just not accurate..He's a good, active defensive presence, he'll crash the glass, and there's some real semi-untapped potential on the offensive end as well. Just needs to get more comfortable. The whole team does... Last night's game was a big step in the right direction. They all responded real well getting that win--got a lot of contributions from everyone and beat a solid team that got a big performance from their best player in their own gym. Real nice job.
I really like the potential of our bench. There's a lot of offense/defense versatility at several spots, depending what Hornacek and the team may need at any given moment: at backup 3, we have N'Dour for D/Kuz for O; at backup 4/5 we can go with Plumlee for D/Willy for O -- and this isn't even mentioning LT and KOQ who are ahead of those others in the rotation at both spots.
