Such a skilled finisher around the basket. PNR and post game. He could end up being the go to guy with the 2nd unit due to his efficiency and ability to create.

Preseason is real.... all of our players have to get it together by the regular season. That's just how it goes

Given where Willy was picked--he might be the best draft pick value in the last 20 years. I like to give the Knicks credit where its fully deserved. I wouldve selected Norman Powell and really had no idea about Willy H. Willy is a BIG time keeper. I see the future as KP at 4 and Willy at 5. What we will have to do is piece players around those two over the next 2-3 years. Hopefully Baker can show he can shoot and finish. I think he can play some 1 guard.

I give Noah a year or two to pass that torch to Billy. He looks smooth.

imagine jo noah tutoring and mentoring those two the next several years.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Awful lot to like -- advanced post game, GREAT footwork, good passer, rebounder. I think he's even got a little jump shot that we haven't seen yet (but have seen in some of his Euro clips) ..I think for his game to jump up another peg he needs to up his physicality or rather adjust to the physical nature of the NBA game. If/when he does that, we should see an even better player. Imagine a hybrid of Plumlee's relentless physicality with Willy's skill level. Having Plumlee and Noah around, practicing against them all the time etc., should help accelerate the process as far as Willy upping his physicality.

Watching Willy movement speed and high IQ on both ends of the court ..
Willy is the real DEAL .. A young superstar PF!
Now i know why Willy got all the playingtime overseas while KP were bench and DNP on the same team.
Willy H were the much better player, Phil got the players mixed up on draft night LMAO!

KP can not play either forward position vs the average NBA teams thats why we loss so many easy games last season. The Boston Celtics forwards Crowder and Johnson will prove that to be a fact again in our 2nd preseason game.
Coach Horn does not have the power to tell Phil or Dolan that KP best position in today's small ball NBA is at the center position SMH
If u measure Willy vs KP talent .. Willy gets a TEN to KP five
No! Willy is not a CENTER .. Willy is a pure natural PF .. the same about KOQ, Quinn is a pure natural PF which the Knicks has never let Quinn play the PF position last year and this year.
It reminds me of PF-David Lee when he was a Knicks we made David Lee play the center position for 3 years straight. And we made 5.8 PG-Nate Robinson play the SG position for 4 years straight SMH

Was commenting on the difference in basketball IQ and court recognition, compared to KO. KO sometimes seems narrow visioned. He makes a move without knowing how it may develop opportunities for others and where the open man may be. Willy seems to have a better idea of how to find the open man. But by far, the most impressive thing to me so far, about Willy, is his foot work. Which is one of the toughest things for a big man to get really good at. Think we made two really good pick ups in Willy and Baker. Both just seem look real comfortable on the floor and understand the flow of the game. Looking forward to see how they both develop as players.
