1 - Joakim Noah is rocking #13 paying homage to my man Mark "Action" Jackson

2 - Brandon Jennings dropping no look dimes looking like a thin version of the last true PG we've had in years.

3 - Plus i saw that he hit the "shimmy" after one sweet pass, if he develops a tear drop shot in the lane im gonna be ecstatic

I missed the game.....So watching those two plays by Jennings was nice. I couldn't see him being a full time starter when we signed him, but I can see it now. And yes, after only two plays in the second preseason game. But I'm also factoring in that he wants to be a knick and he's happy to be on the team and he's the type of PG that can ignite a crowd and increase momentum. I'm not sure if Rose will provide the same impact as a true PG. As a westbrook type, yes Rose is another go to guy in crunch time, which is never a bad thing.

Jennings PG
Rose SG
Lee SF
Melo PF
KP Center

As long as these guys can guard their position, on an average level....this can work, because there are too many offensive advantages at all positions.

Those are all great points but I'm really just happy that the team is embodying the spirit of my favorite short, unathletic, kinda fat but all seeing PG. the king of the over the shoulder, behind the back, tear drop shooting & shimmy shimmy ya Mr Mark Action Jackson. ((sheds tear))

+1 to both points. Can't wait to see Noah take the floor in a Knicks jersey.

I think Jennings has that sizzle and bravado to his game that is gonna make him a fan favorite here.

Also shouldn't be lost - the inbound pass from Tokoto to find Jennings well over half court - hit him on a line and made it easy for Jennings to whip a pass to KP without even needing to adjust much. I would not be shocked if Tokoto wound up making the team given the run he's gotten so far.

I think this team has a lot of "better than the sum of its parts" chemistry potential, which are always my favorite Knicks teams.

Couldn't catch the game either. As I mentioned, we might be getting Jennings at the perfect time in his career. Not a kid anymore, and what usually comes with it. Jennings is healthy, hungry, and trying to fufill a lifelong ambition to be the starting PG for the Knicks. Hope it works out for him.

I look forward to seeing that lineup at times... a lot of interesting potential there.

Also, the second unit - the slashing of Jennings and shooting of Randle.

We finally have enough talent in the backcourt, but also diversity of skills, we can mix and match a little there based on matchups.

Mark Jackson was one of my favorite guys too. I have three signed jerseys from the Knicks over the years and one of them is Mark Jackson that sits on my wall.(John Starks and Charles Oakley)

There is some reasons to be optimistic. While we are FAR from a finished product we have some good-looking pieces. All 5 rookies have showed promise---Plumlee Baker but especially Randle Ndour and Willy G. The vets we will have to wait and see. I want to see how we hold up in paced games--where the other team is pacing and spacing with good ball movement to see how we handle it. Were going to beat teams like the Nets at home--no doubt about that--this is NOT a bad team. We have a floor and we have depth so we should be competitive. Hopefully Hornacek really tries to go 12 deep and MINIMISEZ the vets minutes to keep them fresh particularly Noah and Melo. Our strength is in numbers

Tokoto won't make the team. Who would you have not making the team for Tokoto to get a spot??

1--Melo
2--KP
3--D.Rose
4--J.Noah
5--C.Lee
6--B.Jennings
7--L.Thomas
8--Billy
9--J.Holiday
10--M.NDour
11--KOQ
12--Kuzminskas
13--Sasha
14--C.Randle
15--M.Plumlee

16--R.Baker
17--L.Amundson
18--JP Tokoto

I'm guessing you're gonna say Sasha or Plumlee but we need the size and energy of Plumlee and Sasha brings so much to this team that's not noticed by a lot of people with his all the time energy, his shooting when he's hot, his defense and the way he can annoy the guy his guarding.

It's funny I grew up just BLOCKS from Mark Jackson in St. Albans Queens. I played his brother at O'Connell Park WAY back in the day. I remember standing behind Mark at McDonalds and he was still in his St. John's Warm up suit. Saw him on Jamaica Ave after he was drafted, in his new BMW and he just parked it and went about his business. It was just normal. Good memories.

I'm guessing you're guessing, too! We don't know what's going on with this team behind closed doors. From what I've seen, Topoko is doing well. As is Plumlee. KOQ has been wretched and doesn't look like he fits. Maybe they find a trade for him for a second rounder? Just an observation of how he's played and been featured in practice, not a prediction!
