Failing to close out on a guy is not the same as not being able to stick with him.I totally disagree. He's a much better weapon at the 4 on both sides of the ball. Last year's #s of KP with Lopez vs. KP without Lopez were very clear. He plays much better next to a center. Obviously its early but eventually the hope should be Willy at C and KP at PF.
Look at his game and not his size. At 7'3 you say obviously a center. What about his game says that? What about his game says PF? Everything about his game says PF.
It seemed like they actually picked on KP on defense and it looked like he was a step slow . Ryan Anderson's 3rd quarter was 17 pts all with KP guarding him ...let's say that again Ryan freakin Anderson dumped 17 3rd quarter pts mostly on KP while forcing our best paint presence out of his comfort zone . I wonder what a actual star pf could do vs him if a role player like Anderson can drop 17 3rd quarter pts on him
At 7'3 he should be dominating the paint defensively and grabbing rebounds . On offense KP can destroy pretty much any player that tries to defend him regardless of wether it's a power foward or center.
If you put KP at the 5 and melo at the 4 it opens the floor for everyone else . Wouldn't be surprised to see Noah traded before his contract is up . No disrespect to Noah it's just that KP is a star at center and look at how much bigger KP is this year .
The agree his offensive game doesn't have a position . But defensively it dose and that is at center where he can force opponents out of the paint .
