Ok - Just saying. Unfaithful kid boos and cries at Knicks selection of KP6 and gets rewarded with special treatment? What about the kids there holding their flag high? I say give him a Nets jersey and tell him to GTFO. Maybe this is why I am not in marketing. That said, maybe they made that kid's day, but I think it is BS. I'd rather that KP6 visited some random other school and made those kid's days. You know I gonna spin wit it

The kid became a public spectacle and was likey feeding off the emotions of those around him. Think about it, your father is drunk with many knick mental midgets all in the room booing with emotions running high. The kid is reacting to it. I think the kid would have faced huge humiliation from the postings, especially from guys like you. So who ever thought of this I would applaud for helping a kid who cried not because he is "Unfaitlhful", but for being a fan!!!!! |

Prematurely verbalizing an emotional opinion without having done any kind of research or having any knowledge of the facts. Btw, I did not research the validity of this response. Instead of further coddling this kid who clearly comes from a upbringing that feels entitled and has tickets to the draft, go visit some at risk youths and make their day. Some of them have better things to cry about than whether the Knicks took a 7'3 player. I was at that draft. It was one of my worst as a Knicks fan having to listen to 'fans' boo out selection. Sure I advocated for Winslow before the draft. But when KP6 put on that hat, he became my guy. So, to further this kids dream cuz he was 'sad'...how about helping some kids with real problems instead? You know I gonna spin wit it

Nalod wrote:EwingsGlass wrote:Nalod wrote:EwingsGlass wrote:http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-knicks/post/_/id/65169/undefined Something about when he stopped crying to take a selfie made me think there was a certain self entitlement built into his behavior. Just an impression. It made me think he was spoiled. I got my tickets as a gift through a broker I use. He has Nets season tickets and was able to get me some draft tickets based on that relationship. I sent a thank you note. I did see the camp and I did look it up to see what it was. $199 for 3 hours with KP6 among the other kids learning to play ball. Everyone gets an autographed picture. Crybaby got a 1 and 1 play and a photo op. Say what you will about photo ops and marketing. I don't like to reward bad behavior. I wouldn't make a poster boy of this kid. I'd prefer out of sight out of mind. But that's me. You make him out to be the victim as though this were some societal defect that forced him to tears but pause long enough to take a selfie for the Internet. Much has been written about this kind of so called 'news'. Manufactured and contrived relationships that inspire interest and readership. In the overall sense, I am the dinosaur that thinks this is BS. But then again, I don't have a cat poster that says 'hang in there' either. Maybe next year they will bring the kid in as part of a half time show to play that kiddie game on the court during halftime. KP6 will give him a high five on the way off the court. He'll get a hat that says 'biggest fan' and maybe an oversized finger that says #6 is #1. He can selfie that too. Or we can just teach our kids not to boo the players. NY is a tough crowd and I've voiced my opinions on booing years (decade?) ago. I accept that fans in NY will boo if they perceive bad effort. I've come to terms with booing the effort (even though I still don't). But here, they booed the player in his first moment as a Knick. And because of that, I am bitter. That's my rationale. You know I gonna spin wit it
