that will be the difference in being a competitive basketball team and a team that has a true shot at going places. We dont have 1 player on the team who is a defensive deterant now that Deke is gone. That doesnt matter because he wasnt in the plans long term, but if we dont get Dampier--i dont care what we have --we have an open paint and smallish players. this Vin Baker decision was a mistake, we shouldve bought Mihm. I know Vin can play but he's be an old 33 when the season starts and w esigned him for 3 years

I agree but Mihm isnt that player either.. not by any stretch. So if Baker is signed he's as good as any stop gap player in that role. He can block shots and is a solid offensive rebounder.

No doubt thats the next player to focus on. It may be a year or two before that opportunity knocks but in the meantime we have gotten younger, more athletic and more versatile.
