Jefferson will start believe that. Boston looks like they will at the very least compeditive in the East division.

I think Boston is developing a team...they are where Chicago was 2 years ago...just getting Chandler and Curry.....except they are in a better position because they have a proven talent in Pierce (wheras CHI had Rose, but Pierce is 100x better)...

As for Payton, now he is #2 option, not #5....He will be better...maybe not All-Star better, but better none the less...

I assume that Fox and Payton have expiring contracts. Why else would Boston make this move?

a most interesting trade indeed. if you have ever have a chance to acquire a serviceable superstar without breaking the bank.....you go get-em ! danny's army looks like doc rivers + da glove + ricky davis + paul pierce + first round draft pick.......wow

Payton gets what he deserves. He left the Bucks after they gave up Ray Allen to get him. Now he tried to sneak a ring in on the sly with the Lakers. Sorry. I don't feel bad for him at all. His once formidable skills appear to be in decline and he has a hard time understanding this. I hope he enjoys Boston and its ways. This malcontent has been put up with for a long time because he was good. Now its put up or shut up. Sayonara Gary.
